Obama College Photos To Go On Display (VIDEO)

Photos of President Obama as a college student are rare. But 21 of them are about to be shown publicly. They come from a collection of thirty-six photos taken by Lisa Jack, a fellow student at Occidental College, of Obama as a freshman.

In the photos, a few of which were published in Time Magazine, Obama wears a Panama hat and bomber jacket, smoking cigarettes.

Jack told the "Today Show" that she kept the collection in a safety deposit box through the election to avoid influencing the results, and she described the future president as "cute."

"I'm sure Hillary would have paid a fortune for them: 'Is this who you want picking up the phone at 3 a.m.?' " Jack said to the L.A. Times. "I could have made a boatload of money, probably, but I wanted to do it right."

"Barack Obama: The Freshman," opens Thursday at M+B Gallery in Los Angeles.

They already said that a few were released earlier. However, most haven't been seen before. Also, if she was told by a friend to photograph Obama, don't you think others might have photographed him first? such photos would be rather similar.

Off Topic:
Whatever happened to those people that believed that the "Lord" himself predestined the individuals who were elected president? You don't hear them these days and I am curious because throughout my lifetime (40something) I recall every now and again some pundits, religious leaders, military leaders spouting about this.

My point is that although I bend my knees before no alters nor endorse or prefer any religion, I am inclined to believe that perhaps those folks are correct.

President Obama was born to be president.

That's my opinion anyway.

Some people have an inner calling. I don't know about the Lord, as I am an atheist, but Obama has that special something which makes him great and empathetic.

For this woman to have hung onto these says something about "you really never do know.." but she had to have had some kind of reason for her to hang onto and "unknown freshman guy" pictures for all these years as he was just a professor for a while before he won the Senate in Il. then in the US Congress. A hunch? Maybe but the real deal is a look at someone whose family didn't take the pictures being released and they are not trash just human. I for one am glad she did not sell the pictures during the campaign as we could never find such pic of Hil or even Bill Clinton.

She didn't remember she had them, because he looks different today than in those pictures when he was 20, and his name was Barry. However, she said that after the shoot, she was hoping that he would have ask her out, but he didn't.

On top of being really nice looking, you can see the confidence and an underlying sweetness in his face even back then. Add to that a winning personality, and it's easy to see that he was definitely destined for a bigger and brighter future.

Barak Obama's appeal totally eludes me. What I remember most of all is him bowing to the Saudi King (whose country most of the September 11,2001 Muslim terrorists came from), insulting our allies (England) with a gift not befitting a queen of England ( an ipod).

We import 60% of our oil from the Middle East and if you'll notice, Obama admirers, the price of oil is inching upwards again. Obama's administration has taken away some of our constitutional rights,
doesn't that matter to you? He's helping the economy, but at the same time he's pushing through a socialist agenda which will eventually LIMIT YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOMS!
