The ethics committee in alaska is a sham with all members appointed by the Governor.

I think the Alaskan people should seriously consider impeachment or recalling her. How much longer are they going to put up with this woman? This is a mockery of the justice system. I'm actually surprised she hasn't been slapped with more ethics violations complaints.

Members of the personnel board have been appointed by the governor. Could this be why all the complaints have been dismissed? This is clearly a conflict of interest and completely unethical.
Perhaps someone with some knowledge can explain this to me!

When Sarah was mayour she told people that she could do whatever she wants to do until the courts tell her otherwise.

The only reason she filed the Ethic complaint agaisnt herself is McCain and his advisors told her to do so.
That way it makes her look "ethical" (to her lemming fans only though)

The truth though is by filing the complaint against herself she sets the rules in how she gets questioned so that she comes out looking good in her "Eyes"

With Troopergate/tasergate

The complaints against Wooten are not filed until after the divorce takes place.

She fired her "own security during the time she claims Wooten was a threat to her and her family.

She even Praises Walt Monegan for doing a Great job for Alaska and for Alaskans and has his heart in the right place

http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=5779112

Now logic and common sense say that someone that gets praised for doing a good job and having his heart in the Right place does not "Turn Rogue" and go agaisnt the Governors wishes ......he may question and want verification on some projects but a person will still want to do a "Good Job"

Sarah Palin had to repay the state $10,000 for illegally claimed travel expenses.

Palin had to pay the IRS backtaxes for her excessive per diem claims.

She was found guilty in Troopergate by the Legislative Council consisting of 8 Republicans and 4 Democrats in a unanimous vote. The Personnel Board consisting of 3 Palin lovers let her go with the help of private lawyers who racked up $500,000 in legal fees. Palin can pay those bills out of her pocket now that she has a book deal signed. Instead she set up a legal fund for her supporters to bail her out.

Those are not frivolous charges by any means.

I see, so it's fine when half of Obama's cabinet are tax cheats but God forbid Palin does the same. I'm not saying she shouldn't get in trouble for it, but try not having a double standard.

Some of President Obama's nominees paid the back taxes and were confirmed. Some of his nominees were asked to withdraw their names.

Sarah Palin paid back taxes and kept her job.

There is no double standard.

Are you actually trying to compare Obama to Palin? Obama is a brilliant and gifted politician who is the President of the United States, not a governor.

Palin is a nobody, with no brains and even less common sense. Additionally, she has no qualifications to hold any office, nor the education. She's horrifically imcompetent and very dishonest. Please don't insult mine or anyone else's intelligence with your ridiculous argument.

"But Palin has agreed to reimburse the state in order to settle an ethics complaint over 10 state-paid trips taken by her children."
__________________________________

Hmmm...methinks this complaint was not "frivolous". Otherwise, why would Sarah agree to reimburse the state?

Sarah Palin got caught red handed trying to steal from the RNC and then tried to lie about it. I don't trust people who lie and steal.

A few days after Election Day. Sarah Palin said she returned all the clothes. A reporter told her the RNC was sending a lawyer to Alaska to retrieve the clothes she was supposed to return. The next day she packed the clothes and shipped them. Who revealed this? Sarah's own father.

Actually, the RNC did not trust Palin to send the items. They sent a lawyer to Alaska to inventory them.

Somniferum,

Thank you. I don't understand people who support her, her base in particular. Are they saying it's OK to be corrupt, to lie, to steal to cheat, ad nauseum, ad infinitum?

Is it ok for Obama to lie about Reverend Wright or for his staff to cheat on their taxes? I'm just curious.

How is that crow sandwich tasting guys? The bottom line is that these complaints are dropping like flies. It's funny how low down the page this article is. Nice try on the attempted destruction though. Sarah is prevailing.

You misread the article. It was Palin spokesman Bill McAllister that gave his opinion that the claims were frivolous - there was no suggestion of complaints "dropping like flies". The only suggestion made (by her supporters) was that there were too many complaints made about her - and they wanted to find a way for the court to block what Palin supporters deemed to be 'frivolous complaints".

That's hardly a suggestion that the complaints are "dropping like flies".

In any case, good luck with getting a court to distinguish between a legitimate and frivolous complaint made against a politician!

They're being dismissed. that's what dropping like flies means. They're being dismissed because there's nothing to them.

As far as I am concerned it is unethical to lie about visiting our troops in Iraq while cutting funding for a veterans cemetery. People that belong to secessionist parties should not be allowed to hold office in the U.S.

Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. The woman has to be the most well documented liar in modern political history. She hired Ted Stevens' former chief of staff to help her lobby for 14 million in pork to build a train line from Wasilla to Girdwood. The Alaska Legislative Council (comprised of 8 Repubs and 4 Dems) released a report that found her guilty of ethics violations. The RNC and Repubs who worked on the McCain campaign staff said she tried to s t e a l thousands of dollars of designer clothes.

If it walks like a duck.

I've yet to see one person point out a complaint that was frivolous. They all seem pretty valid to me and are only beings dismissed on technical grounds. Maybe if Palin wasn't such. The fact is when you consistently l i e to the public and try to take stuff that is not yours, people are going to question your ethics. No brainer.

Ms Moore I applaud you for continuing to bring the antics and the nastiness of the Palin family to the forefront. Although I am forever grateful she failed to win with McCain I wish Alaska had done the right thing and done everything possible to get her out of office so she would have that cloud over her future instead we have the reruns of the Palin's to haunt us the next time she gets an invite to run for anything national. I thought she would be a good replacement for Steele as she has some incredible stupid things to say but so far he has held on tightly.

What "nastiness" has her family committed? Not aborting her daughter's baby? What a monster.
