Adam Lambert Openly Gay, Planning 'Coming Out' Magazine Cover

'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert is not only openly gay, he is planning a Rolling Stone cover to confirm it after months of speculation, reports the NY Post.

'Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi is on a pretaped 'View' airing Friday, and during her sit-down she says he is out.

"I don't think that Adam was ever in [the closet]," she tells the ladies. "I think he was always openly out."

Meanwhile, Friday's NY Post reports he will be on the cover of next week's Rolling Stone.

"AMERICAN Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert has steadfastly refused to talk about his sexuality despite photos of him on his Web site tongue-kissing men and dressed in full drag -- but not for much longer. A well-placed magazine source tells Page Six that Lambert will be coming out officially on the next cover of Rolling Stone.

Neither Rolling Stone or Lambert's rep confirmed the cover news when called by the paper.

How come this is such a big deal .We all know about the music sheets ........it is Adams's only business only what happens between the bed sheets.He is talented,speaks well and carries himself PROUD. Let him be........­..........­..........­..........­.......and may he LOVE forever on HIS terms.

Leave it to Adam! Good for him! He didn't wait for that (much heralded) Rolling Stone cover. Yesterday afternoon Adam and his hot friend Drake LeBry were seen out shopping where Adam bought him a Marc Jacobs blazer at Kitson Men, then last night they went out on the town and were stalked by the paparazzi coming out of the West Hollywood club Guys & Dolls were they were photographed holding hands and looking very relaxed and happy. Drake was wearing his new blazer and it looked like he was wearing Adams snakeskin boots too!

Drake had been seen in the audience, and backstage, at the American Idol shows. They've been an item for a while. So NOW can we all please shut up about Adam's sexuality? He's never hidden who he is. Now that we all know HE is OUT - all that's left to know is WHEN IS HIS ALBUM COMING OUT??

I think it's pretty obvious the American Idol did not want Adam to be "out". He has been sending some pretty obvious clues that he is gay all the way through the competition. AI has performers sign contracts so they will not reveal their personal lives. Adam has been honest - but had to play the AI game.

He is brilliantly talented - and will be a superstar. Women don't care if he's gay. We know what we would not be sleeping with Adam Lambert even if he were straight. He is a great role model and will be around for years to come.

Adam's women/girl fans just DON'T CARE if he's gay. Most men comfortable in their own sexuality don't care either. He's talented, hot, smart, poised, and sexy -- those are enough fantasy elements for any heterosexual female. He is a SAFE fantasy, and even the 'tween girls seem to get that.

agreed....i had crushes on obvioulsy gay guys when i was in middle school....it was a non threatening way to slowly learn about sexuality.... their being gay made it easier in some ways to have the crush in the first place....thank you morrissey, we had some good times!

I didnt know i was gay till my preacher asked me if i was.Than hot straight boys wanted me to spend the night at their house and wrestle before going to bed. I just never got the hint i was gay.Till i joined the NAVY and got assigned to my first ship at least 20 guys took me on all the different places to hide and do what ever.but I never did'nt I got off the ship and never went back.IF i could turn back time.

I just want to know when Kris Allen lost his virginity? After all, he's been with the same girl for years, and got married so young. GOT YA! No, nobody bothers delving into the sex lives of the average person, even if it is the person who eventually won American Idol (ADAM was robbed - but that's another column). Media are vultures - we all know that. I know that and I've been a journalist for more than 25 years. Come on. Adam is a wonderful, wonderful entertainer and human being, thus, a real target. Let's see - what can we write about this person to put him on the spot? I know, I'll ask him "the" question. That said, Adam has been an entertainer in theatre for a while, so knows a bit of the ropes. He's done nothing but handle himself with class and dignity. He want AI to be all about the singing: "This is a singing contest," he said at one point on his Idol journey. Not enough for the vultures. So, Adam is taking things in stride and taking control of his life. Good for the most talented performer American Idol has ever had. So let's just all sit back and enjoy this wonderful man's amazing voice. I for one don't care if he was born on Venus, lived on Mars and was beamed down to Earth. He's out of this world! I'm under the impression that it is Adam who is using his "coming out" to get the Rolling Stone cover - which is probably a big dream of his -- not that he is in any way a victim of the curiosity. He seems to know just what to say and how little to say to keep people curious. He's a pro.
