Adam Lambert Openly Gay, Planning 'Coming Out' Magazine Cover

'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert is not only openly gay, he is planning a Rolling Stone cover to confirm it after months of speculation, reports the NY Post.

'Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi is on a pretaped 'View' airing Friday, and during her sit-down she says he is out.

"I don't think that Adam was ever in [the closet]," she tells the ladies. "I think he was always openly out."

Meanwhile, Friday's NY Post reports he will be on the cover of next week's Rolling Stone.

"AMERICAN Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert has steadfastly refused to talk about his sexuality despite photos of him on his Web site tongue-kissing men and dressed in full drag -- but not for much longer. A well-placed magazine source tells Page Six that Lambert will be coming out officially on the next cover of Rolling Stone.

Neither Rolling Stone or Lambert's rep confirmed the cover news when called by the paper.

YAY! I think he will do great in pop music. It is worse to stay in the closet and have the whispering (Clay). That just distracts people from the music. He does not need girls swooning to be successful. He is so talented.

we girls can still swoon. his sensuality is contagious. he's just showing the love. in fact his openness is what so many women (and I am sure even guys, straight and gay) find hot... and wish all guys could be so comfortable with their sexuality, as opposed to some media-inspired sense of who they should be. and quite frankly, who cares if he is gay/bi/str­aight... that's such a limiting way to veiw sexuality anyway. it's about energy and love - and confidence­... all of which he has.

Harvey demanded that all homosexuals come out of the closet they have been locked in by oppressing homophobes. I'm sorry, but I disagree. Having celebrities come out and disclose their sexuality is great! When they hide it, it paints the picture of it being wrong and something to be ashamed of.

With all of the people who claim that they don't want to have gay people push it down their throats (their issues), why is all this attention given to one person's sexual orientation? Why does everyone wonder so much about Adam's sex life? This proves that the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy in our miliarty forces does not work. (By the way, has anyone ever been fired from the military for violating the Don't Ask part? I think only the Don't Tell violators get punished). People should be able to have a life, which includes dating who they are attracted to, being in an intimate relationship with the person they love without ever having to "act" differently for society. I can't imagine how people in the military have served their entire career hiding their "secret", being forced to keep loved ones hidden, or even worst to enter into a heterosexual marriage for acceptance. How many traditional marriages were destroyed when a gay person was no longer able to live with a lie?

What a great point! I'd never thought of that! The whole concept is like something out of Twilight Zone. It's crazy the crap our govt imposes on us and makes us pretend we don't do just in order to be accepted. Can we all say "Adults in PRIVATE?" Or how about "Pursuit of Happiness?"
