Young Cons Anthem: Conservatives Their Beliefs Through Rapping (VIDEO)

HuffPost's Jason Linkins included this astonishing video in his Scritti Politti roundup yesterday, but we felt it deserved its own post. "The Young Cons" are apparently some conservatives from Dartmouth College who think a good way to spread their beliefs is through rapping, specifically with their "Young Con Anthem."

Lest you think this is a parody, I direct you to their website, where they lay out their goals in a lengthy mission statement hailing "Ronald Reagan, Martin Luther King Jr., and arguably Jesus [as] the flag-bearers of the true conservative movement."

Its pretty easy to believe in all the BullSh* T these two are spouting if you're privileged­/sheltered enough to raised in an exclusive all white gated enclave in the northeast amongst other like minded rich WASPs and if your parents buy your way into Dartmouth by sending you to an exclusive prep school that costs a $168,000 and doesn't even offer merit based scholarships.

One day working in a WalMart in Missouri or picking tomatos with migrant workers in Texas would flip their entire world and everything they believe on its head. It's funny that you'd bring Dartmouth into this, because a student with Riddle I can tell you that the students of this school voted over 80% for Obama, more than half of them are on financial aid, and next year's class will be 45% minority. Usually around 10% are the first in their family to go to college. Keep your ignorant and misinformed views to yourself.
