If our economy continues on its current downward spiral, (compliments of our economists, CEOs & bankers), we may all wish we had the survivability of the desert folk, but really your ignorance is showing. It's not surprising that people here would find any media that provides a positive view of our country as a bad thing.
It's interesting that these same people would never complain about a foreign news outlet that denigrates the United States.

If you want to spout West bias into Middle East news then you need to do it in a way that at least appeals to the audience. Broadcasting on Iraq when your news operation is in mainland US is not going to get you the same sort of respect as for example Al Jazeera who have offices throughout the world and journalist face to face with the situation a lot of these people are facing.
When our nation used to have moral credibility (real or imagined), many foreign people would tune into Voice Of America and other U.S. media as such. Now that we've hit the low road of the "Dark Side", we're no more credible than the Soviet Union was.

What is really needed is a 'Radio Free America' but the FCC listens more to the corporate view.
All of U.S cable and network news is more fluff than fact. CNN International is pretty good, BBC World News is very good also Bridges and Link TV. MSNBC is not carrid by many cable companies. They all carry Fox. Ratings? What ratings? Keep an eye on the FCC rulings. For many people that will determine what they are allowed to know.
Is Alhurra any different than our own ABCNBCFOXCBS?
