Washington Post:

Former vice president Richard B. Cheney personally oversaw at least four briefings with senior members of Congress about the controversial interrogation program, part of a secretive and forceful defense he mounted throughout 2005 in an effort to maintain support for the harsh techniques used on detainees.

The AP torture poll story is full of factual errors... and then this:

Associated Press writer Natasha Metzler, AP Polling Director Trevor Tompson and News Survey Specialist Dennis Junius contributed to this report.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a partisan coverup poll... Manufactured consent Chomsky calls it.

the reality is that how they are constantly sh00ting themselves in the foot we don't have to do anything anymore. Just sit back and wait for it to happen over and over and over again.

Exactly ! .....also, don't 'cherry-pick'. I don't agree with Cheney's position as far as waterboarding goes. However, to his credit, he is asking that ALL the memo's be released. Hey, why would Obama or anybody else have a problem with that? The results. What did they find out. What they did stop. Release ALL or don't release any. Only fair !

Because the memos are part of an ongoing litigation case against the BushCheney Cabal and cannot be released due to a Court Order. Chinney knows this.

Correct, a blatant attempt to get the case thrown out before it is actually filed.

And there was a report that he's lying and there are no memos corroborating his story.

Well said, besides it's a distraction from everything the libtrolls are hoping the Messiah will accomplish. What are we now, almost six months into the "new adminstration" and the libs are still hung up on Bush -Cheney and not on the lib agenda. time to turn the page.

Well using that logic we had no need of the Nuremburg trials in the 2 years following the end of WWII. I would contend that bush/cheney have used their positions to break American laws, have committed crimes against humanity, and should be investigate. It doesn't mean I'm not also paying attention to cap and trade, the demise of yet more jobs, and the as yet impossible to find missing millions (or billions) funneled through TARP.

If you can't pay attention to more than one thing at a time, that's your problem.

Sensationalism, the MSM loves it. Also, too, many of his friends are owners of the MSM and would love to try his case in the public in order to help him work out a defense, or find out what the actual charges might be so that he can then mount a defense.

Shouldn't they have enough evidence for an arrest warrant by now. I mean this guy said on camera the other day that there was never a link between Iraq and 9-11. War criminals belong in a cell.

Fragging Bob:
Bob Kerrey, CIA War Crimes,
And The Need For A War Crimes Trial

by Douglas Valentine

By now everybody knows that former Senator Bob Kerrey led a seven-member team of Navy Seals into Thanh Phong village in February 1969, and mur-der-ed in cold blo-od more than a dozen women and children.

What hardly anyone knows, and what no one in the press is talking about (although many of them know), is that Kerrey was on a CIA mission, and its specific purpose was to ki-ll those women and children. It was illegal, pre-meditated mass mur-der and it was a war cri-me.

And it's time to hold the CIA responsible. It's time for a war crim-es tribunal to examine the CIA's illegal activities during and since the Vietnam War.

Mr. Cheney is the Winston Churchill of our time.

We don't need a truth commission. We already have this handy thing called a criminal investigation, and we should do that one instead, because it's clear these were crimes. We don't need a blue-ribbon panel to tell us that part. Now it's a matter for the cops to handle.
