This is the poorest example of journalism.

Anywhere in this article does it provide any evidence this is true. In fact Jon goes to Utah with his daughter to ski all of the time.

Money, cares, and houses always come up - as if no one else they're not allowed to have any. The media needs to grow up.

Kate better get used to the show being "Kate plus 8" next year as unless your a masochist, I doubt there will be many men lining up to be Kate's next punching bag. If my husband ever treated me like that day after day, I'd tell him to "take a long walk off a short pier." I would not want my daughter to think that it is acceptable to treat a woman like that. Women don't like to be treated like submissive servants by their partners, I doubt men want to be either.

The few shows I happened to see (as I have family members who love the show), it seems like Jon really loves his children. I would hope he would wise up (and grow up) and sue for joint custody if there is a divorce, not run away and hide with a college co-ed, when his children need him.

They both have placed other priorities ahead of their kids. Those kids did not ask to be born, and it's not their job to support their parents.

Both K&J are exploiting the kids to support their lifestyle, but can't ever be bothered to place the kids as a top priority in their lives.

Please folks, these kids are nothing more than the modern equivalent of the Dionne Quintuplets: with every moment videotaped for the cameras and shown pretty 24/7 every where. The show went from being fairly sweet to this train wreck because the parents seem to be greedy. Did they really NEED a 1.1 MILLION mansion? $1,600/day bodyguard for the wife? Will these poor kids ever see a PENNY of the money their childhood's earned? Not to mention, if we're seeing the birth mother on every magazine and news show or out signing autographs, and the birth father is out drinking - who IS REALLY PARENTING THOSE KIDS? Paid help. Sad, sad, sad. ALL CHILDREN IN ENTERTAINMENT - whether scripted or not - need the SAME compensations across the board in all 50 states - as California enacted, along with a new version of "Coogan's Law" to protect their earnings. FREE THE GOSSELIN EIGHT!!!!

I still can't figure out exactly why Kate needs a "bodyguard". Is there evidence of fans stalking her (yeah, right!) or is this just an excuse to pay her boyfriend to hang out with her 24/7. I think they should interview the bodyguard's wife to see what her take on this is. Or maybe the bodyguard and his wife have the same fake marriage Kate and Jon do? Kate and her surly attitude and "groundbreaking" hairstyle do provide a bit of entertainment for me here on Huf Po but I do hope the kids have some trust funds (or something) set up that Kate and/or Jon can't dip into. Without those kids Kate would be just another shrew bickering with her spineless husband.

What one of us would not take any opportunity to better ourselves or our children. Yes, she probably is using them, but she has bettered them all, even Jon. What about stage moms, sports parents, academic families, spelling bee parents and on and on. How many hours do these parents make their children work with no regulation. Without her he would be still waiting tables. Even if she planned all of this, every one of them have benefited. Everyone likes a train wreck...me too. I know she is a B****, but what woman is not considered that from time to time. In my opinion Jon went to his brother-in-law and sister-in-law in a preemtive strike. He was having or thinking of having an affair and the best defense is an offense. I do believe Kate that she is not presently having an affair. I do not believe him. She's the one that gave him the opportunities and he is ungrateful. She did need to treat him better, but he was such a woose. Poor put upon Jon. There would be no poparazi if he had not had an affair. Take responsibility. I hope the children get as much money and stuff that they can. Kate is not a lovey dovey mom. Neither are a lot of moms. We all wish we could. But would we put on a birthday like she did if someone else was paying for it. Oh, yes you would.
