You know I do want to sit here and bash both of them because in reality they both are wrong on many levels... What really hurt me was seeing there premier episode where there little daughter Lexi told Jon how she didn't want him to be gone so much and was hugging and kissing him .. Dang that is sad.
In the midst of this huge media storm and all the lies and deception there is still 8 little kids wanting there Mom and Dad.. so sad. As a child of divorce I can say I wish them the best- I hope that they can look at the big picture and what's most important = Family. But sadly I just don't think that is their priority right now even though the preach that is every episode..

I swear... there are too many women willing to cut Jon slack. As a woman, and mother... I find it sickening. I guess some women believe any old sob story a man tells them... but I never have. Even when I was dating, when a man told me tales of woe... about how poorly they were treated, or how unloved they felt... I always knew there was a woman on the other side of that story, who probably had a whole other perspective.

I am honestly shocked when I read the comments on the Jon & Kate stuff... it's like the wolves come out to attack Kate!

I watch Jon and Kate mostly because they are local to us here. I enjoy seeing recognizable landmarks and often overlooked aspect that Central Pennsylvania is a wonderful place to raise a brood of children. The show exists beyond its tawdry scandal, truly.

Even following these stories now, I prefer to avoid the "who did what" nonsense and hope fervently for their marriage to succeed, perhaps become stronger from their recent experience.

I also think it's fair for them to complain about the media overexposure. In the same way that date rape is still rape, just because you make out with TLC a little bit for a half-hour television program, doesn't mean you deserve to have the full court press from the tabloids. I resent this concept that they somehow deserve to be the subject of intense scrutiny because they welcomed it into their lives once. I do equate it to rape. It's intrusive and violating, and we find it unacceptable when its physical. Why we don't apply similar reasoning here is beyond me.

Ok, first that link to celb's with Kate's hair was really odd! Not one Celb would look right with Kate's hair style!

The only thing I can figure is Jon has agreed to finish out this season as a couple, but not really for I figure most of these episodes are just going to show them off on different adventures with, or without the kids! It almost seems like to me Jon taking this girl to Utah where camera crews were there to film his trip, maybe he really wasn't trying hard to hide her. He just seemed to be begging to be caught bringing this girl to his house to sunbath? Just doesn't seem like a man trying to sneak around, he pretty much done it right under Kate's nose...in front of the cameras.

I think they had a contract to continue this season as a couple -- Kate knew the relationship was over so told Jon he could do whatever he wanted PRIVATELY (at this point, six months ago, the tabloids weren't stalking them). I think consciously or subconsciously Jon knew that the best way to get back at Kate was destroy the one things she most cared about -- the TV SHOW. So he didn't try to cover-up the affair -- no doubt hurt that Kate didn't want to work on their relationship -- and actively went about destroying their product, their happy family life.

LOL...but she doesn't have to be. Looks have nothing to do with it. It's how this other woman is treating Jon. It apparent that this other woman makes him feel something different than how Kate is making him feel. While I don't condone adultry & I am a female, women need to try to understand why these things happen. There will always be a woman willing to have an affair and also to the fact that this other woman most likely makes Jon feel good (whether it's about himself as a person and a man, or in other aspects) because after hearing the way Kate talks "at" him, not to him...I kind of understand why he may stray. Jon is to blame too no doubt about that. Sorry....I'm not saying it's right, but you can't treat a man like a child and expect him to go along with you and stay.

I don't see the difference between condoning adultery and "understanding" what happened. Kate was right when she made the comment that even if she was hard, we all make our own choices. Driven to it or not, he also has the respect of his children as they age to consider, something that he actually spoke to.

Married men who have affairs, especially with younger women, are sometimes looking for someone who will make no demands, who will think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and who will be there whenever he snaps his fingers.

Don't know if this is Jon's gig, but he needs to sort out why he allowed Kate to treat him like a doormat because, if he doesn't, the next real relationship he gets into will almost certainly be with someone who will treat him like a doormat.

Why does everybody think Jon is incapable of standing up for himself. He doesn't deserve pity. In my opinion he plays the mealy-mouthed backseat so that he can avoid taking active responsibility in the household... and all the women can swoon 'awwww, poor Jon...'. I know I sound like I take a hard-line with Jon... but he's not nearly as helpless as people make him out to be. Kate catch's the brunt of the backlash.
