after bloomington il council ignores needs for retailer parking meters to prevent all day parkers from suffocating 35 year suit retailer winnies menswear, a thrift shop takes the space and offers 1.99 tops, and any hardbacks at 1.50. the city is near broke and cant see it to boost jobs and save its own retail stores.

America should take this time to reflect on our past

and then just maybe we can start over with a reality based way of life

where we care more for each other then profits

where a family is never homeless

where sick people are always cared for

I want to live where this and more take place

The global recession looks like we have entered an new paradigm where there are fewer middle class people, more crime, a diminished opportunity to receive a higher education, and then, once graduated, a tougher time getting a job that could pay for that investment in one's self. There will be fewer suburbs, empty homes, ghost town style exburbia, a shrunken GDP, a higher national debt, and less spending.

Unless, the US undergoes a new American Paradigm shift away from the monopoly-financial capitalist economy and back to a real-manufacturing-based capitalist economy there will be no change we can believe in.

"Are education" or "Our education?" Perhaps, "Our public education system...?"

I feel that this is only the beginning. We have lost our values, and are still excessive. Are education sucks, and we are losing our intellectual creativity. People are too busy o facebook and twitter. You people need to get a life, and you kids of the boomers need to stop the lazy apathy. The U.S. and many other countries are on the downturn. The right wing christians who hate progress would also prefer the dark ages. This recession is far from over, and so is America's sense of innovation. Get off facebook and get out there and do something you generation whiners.

I hate being the Grammar Police, but when someone starts criticizing the intelligence of others while making whopping grammar mistakes, somehow the point gets lost. Then again, what better way to show the decline in education than to show yourself as being one it's poster children.
