Eminem Speaks: 'Thrilled' About Bruno Stunt

NEW YORK — Eminem says he knew full well what he was about to face at the MTV Movie Awards _ including Sacha Baron Cohen's bare butt.

Enimem told the Web site RapRadar.com that the much-talked about stunt was all rehearsed, right down to Eminem's mock disgust. Says the rapper: "I'm thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it."

Eminem says when he left the show, he went back to his hotel and laughed for three hours, including as he watched the playback.

The rapper calls himself a "big fan" of Baron Cohen, who he said approached him about the gag while he was in Europe.

At Sunday's live show, the comedian descended from the ceiling on a wire in a fake mishap that ended with his bare hindquarters in Eminem's face.

Em and his fellow rappers will all end up as right wing Republicans. They have all the requirements: they hate women, they hate gays, they're rich, and they're men. Changes in the party will make the fact that they're not all white moot. Welcoming diverse haters will pass for actual diversity in the party of R. I'm sure Em will easily overcome this video when he runs for the Senate (to bring back real American values) when he's fifty-two or so. I mean, boys will be boys.

Wow... whichever one of his publicists wrote that response for Eminem should be canned. None of that sounds anything like something he would say. At least try to make us think it really came from him. He was "thrilled"; "do something outrageous", "involved with the gag", he "laughed uncontrollably" — you've got to be kidding me. I know Eminem isn't what he used to be, but I doubt that he's turned into the president of the local PTA chapter. And on a side note... the "gag" wasn't all that funny.

I never liked Cohen as Ali G before Borat, then I finally got it.
He's putting you on! It's delicously funny. now, looking back at Ali G eposodes,
he gets famous people, the more pompous and arrogant the better - and
amazingly gets them to believe that's he's doing a legitimate interview,
then he makes complete fools of them!

His comedy can be seen as just crude on the superficial level. But it's more social satire. Yes it can be incredibly uncomfortable - but if you don't understand the point Mr. Cohen is making in this clip, you're hopeless:
