Eminem Speaks: 'Thrilled' About Bruno Stunt

NEW YORK — Eminem says he knew full well what he was about to face at the MTV Movie Awards _ including Sacha Baron Cohen's bare butt.

Enimem told the Web site RapRadar.com that the much-talked about stunt was all rehearsed, right down to Eminem's mock disgust. Says the rapper: "I'm thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it."

Eminem says when he left the show, he went back to his hotel and laughed for three hours, including as he watched the playback.

The rapper calls himself a "big fan" of Baron Cohen, who he said approached him about the gag while he was in Europe.

At Sunday's live show, the comedian descended from the ceiling on a wire in a fake mishap that ended with his bare hindquarters in Eminem's face.

That Eminem is willing to put himself in such a situation and risk his oh, so valued 'street cred' is by FAR the edgiest thing he's ever done in his career. Kudos! Who cares if it was staged? It was funny as hell!

This idea of 'street cred' is so silly. Surely it doesn't matter one way or the other if the music is good? In his case... meh... it's not really my style. But I don't think he's horrible or anything.

I think it's great that he could participate in this. I really think his private persona is much different than his public one. I've had respect for him for a long time just for the fact that he's been a dad to 4 kids, only one of which is his biologically. Having worked with fatherless kids for as long as I have, I appreciate his willingness to be there for his niece, his younger brother, and now his ex-wife's other daughter. I think he's got a much bigger heart than he's given credit for, and a goofier sense of humour than people realize.
Good for you, Mr. Mathers. i wouldn't have had the guts to do it myself...

I think it was good in the sense that Eminem pretty much makes a living out of making fun of other people, and now it's good to see that in turn he can laugh at himself.

listen to his music a little closer, and you'll see that the person he's hardest on is himself. i think he's got the self-deprecating thing down.
