Rush Limbaugh On Obama, Al-Qaeda And The Race To "Demolish America" (VIDEO)

In an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh repeated his desire for President Obama to fail, continued to insist that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor is a racist and went so far as to claim that Obama is doing a better job of demolishing America than al-Qaeda would.

At the start of the interview, a slimmed-down Limbaugh described how he's lost 58 pounds since February, when he tipped the scales at 290.

Asked about his infamous comments in a previous Hannity interview that he wanted "Obama to fail," Limbaugh stated: "I still want - I do want - Obama to fail."

Later, Limbaugh claimed that Obama was doing such a good job of destroying the country that: "If al-Qaeda wants to demolish the America we know and love, they better hurry, because Obama is beating them to it."

Limbaugh prefaced those remarks by saying that he had thought carefully about that statement in anticipation of his interview with Hannity.

He also bashed Colin Powell, who bucked the GOP to endorse Obama and criticize Limbaugh, by asking rhetorically: "What has Colin Powell ever done for the Republican Party that makes him so valuable?"

Limbaugh repeated his claim that Sotomayor is a racist over her 2001 comments about the unique perspective of a Latina woman - "It's a racist thing to say and it's bigoted," he said. Limbaugh added that if she comes down on the "right side" of the abortion issue, "he might look past this racism" and support her nomination.

I am a registered republican atheist. I am libertarian and miltonian in my philosophy. I think that big government is ineffective. As republicans, we should disavow Rush as a "credible" mouth peice. He is like Louis Farrakan is to the left. An embarrasment...and possibly a threat.

Real republicans should stand up and squash Rush when he says this stuff. These words if uttered by Farakan or by Rev Wright "If al-Qaeda wants to demolish the America we know and love, they better hurry, because Obama (insert Bush) is beating them to it."

Wright said God damn America and that chickens were going to come home to roost and get America back for how horrible we were and Obama called Wright his mentor. The difference is that Wright hates our country and Limbaugh hates what Obama is doing to our country .There is a big difference between the two and Wright has been preaching hatred of America for 20 years with children listening to him in church.

Disagree... Wright hates Limbaugh's america and Limbaugh hates Wright's vision for america. Limbaugh invokes "the america we knew" which for Wright includes Jim Crow and Segregation.

Wright doesn't hate America. He served America in the armed forces. He hates what a few greedy, power-hungry (white, as it happens) people have done to her. In fact, so do I (white, as it happens).

Freedom of speech is one thing, but words have meanings and these words call for a further inquiry. What does he mean here? The secret service may want him to explain himself.

Is he encouraging Al Queda to hurry? (Sedition/Treason) Or is he encouraging americans to treat Obama as we do Al Queda because he is as bad for America? (Americans legally hunt down kill and capture Al Queda every day) Are there some people who will take these words as reason and perhaps act?

Not for censorship but....this is beginning to sound like a call to action.

This last bit from the article says it all: as long as someone agrees with the Thug stance on abortion, that person is in like flint for any position.

Has anyone else noticed a change in Rush's appearance? I think he's had plastic surgery. His eyes are much more taught and his front teeth look brand new. He looks much better than he did at the CPAC convention. I don't think he has had enough time to lose weight between then and now.

Whoever did the work did a good job. If only his insides could be prettied up, too!

Why does this man think it matters what he says, he hopes President Obama fails well if he gets his desire guess what? we all fail including him. Something has got to be wrong with a person to admitt he wants the President to fail, my 90 year old grandmother said the other day you don't have to worry about a statment like that because the hole you dig dig it big enough for yourself because that is who will fall in it.
