Palin Blasts Begich As "Uninformed" For Questioning Stalled Pipeline

Miami Herald:

Gov. Sarah Palin's commissioners on Wednesday blasted Alaska Sen. Mark Begich as "uninformed" after he expressed frustration that a natural gas pipeline to the Lower 48 hasn't moved forward.

Former Gov. Frank Murkowski also weighed in with an opinion column asserting Palin's approach to getting the gas pipeline is a waste of time that's stalled progress.

Mark, good question. And one that most of us here in Alaska are wondering ourselves: When are we going to stop dumping money into the coffers of one Big Oil family member after another to do "feasibility " studies? When are we going to just build the darn thing??
As has been asked repeatedly, why isn't Alaska building the thing on our own???
Therein lies the real rub with palin and the Big Oil cronies. They can't answer the question. Not without looking the fools and criminals they are.

Begich, crawled hands and knees to Evan Bayh and Mark Penn, he even let Bayh throw him under the bus and he still crawled back.

Begich is a weak "Democrat", and is easy prey to Sarah.

Actually, as a Democrat who loves my party and our values, Im glad Sarah put mark in his place.

Maybe Mark will wake up and realize the honor bestowed on winning a SENATE seat on the backs of the Democratic party.

Begich is doing just fine. The reactions to what he's trying to do- represent the people- only illustrate how corrupt and steeped in beaurocracy our government is.
It would be funny, if it wasn't so serious, seeing one man stand up to say "What's taking so long? What's the hold up?" and watching everyone else get all rankled about it. That's what's happening, and most folks I know are asking the same question.
Enough greedy polictiicans. They've milked this thing- the gas line- for years! Years! Time to see some progress!
