Sad Obama

Dallas Morning News:

Diann Jones, a vice chairman of the Collin County Republican Party, has apologized for an e-mail that some local judges denounced as racist.

But she also lashed out at judges who forwarded her e-mail and condemned her.

In an e-mail Tuesday to state District Judge Robert Dry, Jones wrote, "If someone is offended by something in an e-mail, I don't think forwarding it on to 50 other people [that never originally saw it] is really prudent ... That action simply multiplies the offensive e-mail and enlarges the damage."

"I apologize for getting caught and will be careful to only share my racist emails with people I know hold the same racist views in the future."

"The war of words began a week ago when Jones sent an e-mail to local Republican clubs, rallying support against a state bill that would have imposed a $50 tax on guns. The e-mail included the statement, "Another terrific idea from the black house and its minions." When is this BS going to stop? So now it's called the "black house" and the staff is called "minions"? Whatever government position Diann Jones holds, she should be relieved of it, immediately, if not sooner!

I'm sitting here banging my head against my desk...bong, bong, bong! Are these people TOTAL idiots? Not to have MADE the comment, that's typtical Republican thinking. They are idiots to believe that you can SAY something like this and then apologize! Sort of like "Oops, sorry, I didn't know the gun was loaded."

Spare America from these FOOLS! I'm sick of them.

My Yahoo and Outlook email always seems to add raccists comments to my emails too. That is so weird.

I live here in Collin County and let me just say that it is one of the racist counties out side of Dallas. Last election as I drove through the neighborhoods most of the signs where for McCain/Palin. So I'm not surprised by the racist email at all. But I tell you what the Democratic Party of Collin County are hard at work over Obama's health care plan and getting rid of Rick Scare-rry. Oh yeah, and TEXAS turns blue in 2012!

Diann Jones, a vice chairman of the Collin County Republican Party.... is a LYING. Plain and simple. Of course she knew exactly what she was doing when she sent the racist email. She just wasn't counting on it back-firing.

If Diann Jones truly did not know that she was sending racists emails, (which no one believes for one second) then why is she "lashing out at judges who forwarded her e-mail and condemned her."

Kudos to Judge Chris Oldner, for doing the right thing, and not just "going along" with Diann Jones' offensive racial comments. It was EQUALLY as smart to forward the email to others, and encourage them to "go on record" admonishing this really stupid act done by Diann Jones, otherwise, your silence would have been "acceptance" and "approval". This shows that at least you have character.

To Diann Jones, you SHOULD be ashamed for sending out a racist email against Pres. Obama. All you did was prove what most of the voting public already knows about the Republican Party. You know what you tried to do by sending out that racially offensive email to effect "race-baiting" was absolutely despicable and as you can see, not all people in the Republican Party have warped minds, because it didn't work. Plain and simple.

"Another terrific idea from the black house and its minions."

Wow. That IS really racist. Not only is it clear that they cannot tolerate an African-American President, but they are also making it clear that they believe "blacks" don't have smart ideas, thus implying that African-Americans (especially liberal African Americans) are intellectually inferior to white Republicans.

The Southern strategy from the Nixon years lives on......

Yup. You can't make this stuff up. The thing that bothers me reading this is that this woman is a representative of the people. Is that the best Texas has to offer? I love her apology - "I didn't mean to send it". Well, she made herself as clear as day on who she truly is. I bet she's a good ole christian woman just serving the peeps.

"Black house"? *shakes head*

And Republicans foolishly wonder why 95% of African-Americans vote Democratic...

I truly do not understand why Powell, Alan Keyes or Mike Steele or even Condi Rice are part of this very white old money group.

"...The war of words began a week ago when Jones sent an e-mail to local Republican clubs, rallying support against a state bill that would have imposed a $50 tax on guns. The e-mail included the statement, "Another terrific idea from the black house and its minions."

"..."This was an e-mail that I received and forwarded unaware of the racist comment," Jones said. "The alleged racist comment was not mine. Apparently, the person who forwarded me the e-mail failed to see the comment as did many others – me included."

Seriously, the *alleged* racist comment??? Alleged??? There's nothing alleged about the "black house" comment, it's effing racist you idiot. Riiiiggghhhtt, she failed to see that line... he!! will freeze over before I believe that. Forwarding emails generally mean the recipient read it and sees it fit for others to receive and of course it was done on the Racist Party email. That just means she gets to keep her job.

This type of backdoor racism happens all the time. African Americans know it and know it well.
05:41 PM on 06/04/2009
Apparently, no one saw the "racist" comment, including whoever wrote it.....

Now here's a judge thats empathetic towards her own ra)c_e . Let's hope she's never put up for a federal appointment.
04:21 PM on 06/04/2009
Now, if a person would be so brazen as to actually SEND an e-mail like this, imagine what else she would do if she thought, or even KNEW, she'd never get caught . . .

Stuff like this happens ALL THE TIME. Which is why it irks me to no end when people so willingly dismiss an accusation of racism and/or discrimation made by a person of color as "playing the race card." It happens in subtle ways as well as not-so-subtle ways, and trust, we KNOW when we've been the victim of it.

. . . shaking my head . . .
