Holder

Essence:

The walls inside the U.S. Justice Department headquarters are painted with themed murals depicting law and lawlessness (a couple being robbed at gunpoint; a man fleeing a mob into the protective arms of a judge). It dramatically establishes that you're in a place dedicated to the noble pursuit of American justice.

Did he mention the irony of a black attorney general ignoring the gang stalkers who openly and notoriously lynch people with poison and radiation?

The present administration was not elected to prosecute Bush. Although I understand the Geneva Convention was ignored during our war on terror, we need to focus on finishing the job that Bush left us. We cannot afford to split our focus. What people are asking for is impossible and ignorant. We have lost too much time, destroyed too many relationships, are pulling ourselves out of a global recession, and trying to repair holes in our democracy that requires a forward approach.

No one screamed and protested LOUDLY and persistently while Bush was in office. We sat back at let him undo our country. We are all guilty of standing by the sidelines comatose out of fear. We are all responsbile and now we want Holders to cure what ails some of us? I don't think so.

"No one screamed and protested LOUDLY and persistently while Bush was in office." ?!?!?

Really?

"We sat back at let him undo our country." ?!?!?

"We," you say. Really?

Speak for yourself. Just because you were asleep while the sadistic stupidtocracy ran its worldwide war crime spree (for fun and profit) does not mean that everyone else was.

"We cannot afford to split our focus."

Focus? What is this 'focus' that you're inventing? The federal government has many distinct resources and activities which are always engaged in numerous disparate and unrealated tasks all at once. There is no such thing as a unified "focus" which could be "split."

"What people are asking for is impossible and ignorant."

Wishing and hoping will change nothing. You will lose. War crimes will be punished. So sorry.

The Department of Justice IS moving the war crimes investigation forward, as they are required to do under both domestic law and under our treaty obligations. They are not obligated to do so with a giant hullabaloo of cacophonous public noise, however. Numerous international investigatory initiatives are in-process, also.

The war criminals will be brought to justice. The authorities do not want the inevitable vigilante hit teams to do their work for them, so they are moving forward with all deliberate speed.

HOLDER: If we were to find that there were in fact violations of the law, and that you've had cases that were worthy of investigation and potential prosecution, we would follow the law.

It's been done. We violated the Geneva Conventions which is worthy of investigation and prosecution. The only thing left is following the law. Your move Mr. Attorney General.

Yeah, right. As if violations of the Geneva Convention do not constitute crimes. As if FISA violations do not constitute crimes. "If" and "would" are words of truth dodgers.

All I care about right now, is addressing the abortion doctor shootings, and some whack job on a road trip to kill Obama.

I wish he'd said something about why he is continuing to vigorously maintain Bush-era policies preventing detainees from proving their innocence in court, or holding those who may have mistreated them accountable in court.

We need to tell all our friends and family members to make an issue of this. Gates, Bernanke, Geithner, Summers, Greenspan, Clinton,

Please, add to the list of people with questionable backgrounds. I found it very strange that they went after Holder for Mark Rich and not the Clintons.

There are some big shenanigans going on.

Mark Levy, what happened to him?

I have not liked this pick from the moment he was announced. If he doesn't do his job on prosecuting tor turers ,it will reflect back on the President. The 'new plan' ,announced today, for more border drug interdiction is a waste of money and time, when an end to pot prohibition would do more in one day, than their new plan will ever accomplish. this administration is going to play the middle road 'til they hit a tree at the next Y. Too bad they won't listen to the voices of the people ,when we participate in their online gimmicks. Another online poll was taken in the last week or two, once again places Cannabis prohibition in the top ten. Still they ignore the will of the people.
from the AP:
'The Marijuana Policy Project, which supports regulating the drug like alcohol, criticized the plan."

"This new effort will keep a lot of cops and bureaucrats employed but will accomplish very little otherwise, because it ignores the central problem, which is that marijuana prohibition has handed the Mexican cartels a massive market that keeps them fat and happy," said the group's spokesman, Bruce Mirken.

common sense is not one of this administration's strong suits.
[why won't you post this comment? there is no violation of comment policy.

The man is going to get a rude awakening if he abandons the people who got him elected, those of us who were with him from Iowa and not those who have recently climbed on the bandwagon to show that they voted for a winner. The Republican right and even the Republican moderates, whatever the hell that is, are not not going to vote for him, ever. If he doesn't confront war crimes and restore our civil rights, I will not vote for him. I will just make a gesture and vote Green or Socialist.

I read that it was either one or two hundred people who lost their lives under torture. Some with their eyes gouged out. This seems to me to have been to hush people up and to send a message. Remember the the translator who supposedly "took her own life" after refusing to take part in it anymore?
