Lance Armstrong's Baby Born: Max Armstrong Arrives!

Shortly before midnight EST on Thursday night, Lance Armstrong tweeted the news that he has a new baby boy, Max, with his girlfriend Anna Hansen.

Along with a photo, seen left, Lance twittered some details.

The announcement with a photo:

My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My Mommy is healthy and so am I!

30 minutes later:

@maxarmstrong1 weighed in at 7lbs5oz and is 20 inches long.

The cancer survivor has three older children with his ex-wife Kristin. They were, as is documented in his autobiography "It's Not About The Bike," conceived using IVF and sperm banked before his cancer battle.

Max was conceived naturally.

What gets me about this place is the mis andry. Whenever a piece mentions a man getting remarried after a divorce and starting over, the knives come out. In contrast if some Ska nks in the City star marries a female Danny Bonaducci impersonator, it's all kittens and rainbows.

But Lance didn't marry her. She was supposed to be just another in his long line of revolving girlfriends, until she miraculously got knocked up. She's not his wife. She's his baby mama.

It looks to me like this baby has anencephaly. He has the typical appearance of a baby with anencephaly, and notice that his skull appears to be protruding way up into his cap. I hope that I am wrong, and that Lance's baby is healthy as stated because anencephalic babies usually don't live more than three months.

I'm not criticizing the baby, I'm just making an observation, which, if correct, means people should be compassionate towards Lance and his girlfriend. I truly hope that this is just a funny looking healthy kid. I think he looks very cute and lovable, but he does have all the characteristics of anencephaly.

If the baby is breach and/or is a first child, often the bones in the shape of the newborn's head will be misplaced and bent as the head goes through the birth canal. A member of my family was breach, and her baby pictures show a very mishaped head, until she got to be about a year old. As a child and as an adult, her head was shaped fine though.

This baby appears to have full consciousness and is has his eyes open, presumably moving. I think it's a bad camera angle and a little trauma going through the birth canal. A C-Section baby would've look much prettier, I guess.

I am honestly amazed that you guys are ganging up on a new born baby! I don't care one way or another about the dad but Good God people. Can't you use all that hate talk over at your usual threads about Palin or GW, or has that become boring so you now have to take the h@te up 10 notches and attack an infant. I didn't think it was possible to make the way a new born looks a right or left issue but you should be proud of yourselves because you've managed to do that! Wow.

i remember my lil cousin was not very cute when she was a baby and her mother knew it. she'd cry all the time( not literally) sayin' her baby wasn't cute. my cousin looked just like her granny when she was born and if u all knew how her granny looked u would understand why her mother cried about it. anyhooo. my cuz grew out of it by 1. she is 10 now and nothing but dark and lovely.
