Lance Armstrong's Baby Born: Max Armstrong Arrives!

Shortly before midnight EST on Thursday night, Lance Armstrong tweeted the news that he has a new baby boy, Max, with his girlfriend Anna Hansen.

Along with a photo, seen left, Lance twittered some details.

My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My Mommy is healthy and so am I!

30 minutes later:

@maxarmstrong1 weighed in at 7lbs5oz and is 20 inches long.

The cancer survivor has three older children with his ex-wife Kristin. They were, as is documented in his autobiography "It's Not About The Bike," conceived using IVF and sperm banked before his cancer battle.

Max was conceived naturally.

Okay, this is not the prettiest baby in the world, but I guess parents view their own babies differently. Before I had my own kid, I have always wondered why do so many parents post their babies pictures and spend hours looking at them. Once I became a parent myself I understand why. We all view our own babies as the cutest in the world, even if that's not remotely true.

Nonetheless, Armstrong doesn't need to share a not so flattering picture of his baby with everyone in the world.

People - this is now my second comment in this thread - what is wrong with the baby? Why should his picture be called "unflattering"? He is a NEW BORN BABY - not a 3 month old being posed by a photographer. Geez, would love to see what all of you looked like an hour or so after being born.
