What size do you think that TV is?
He seems to be carrying it with little effort.

I see this as a good thing. Read instead, or better yet, have a conversation with your family instead of sitting comatose and slackjawed watching bad TV.

Oh please! Millions of TV screens might go blank? I can't think of too many things that would be better for a lot of Americans. Of course, it will just end up being a great month for Best Buy. Regardless of how much money people have, they will run down and buy a new TV in a panic. They shouldn't but they will. And you will hear them whine about it on the 6:00 news.....unless you're lucky enough not to have a TV.

MAybe if TV offered something worth watching, more people would be interested in the move. Right now, most TV is worthless pap interrupted repeatedly by more worthless garbage. Broader and more honest news reporting can be found via CBC, BBC, and similar venues on the radio. TV? Not needed in our lives.

You do realize that you can get broader shows with cable and low and behold you get them through the tv. Hmmmmm

Yeah, but to get the decent cable stations, you first have to pay for hundreds of crap stations. No thanks. Radio is free, you contribute what you can. Kind of like socialism. It's nice.

There's been so much hype about this, you'd think it was an emergency. Hey, we're talking about TELEVISION. Here's an idea, get rid of your TV, it's a brain killer.

Not watching TV for a couple days is not going to kill anyone.

Folks, we got bigger fish to fry.

I feel bad for those who thought they prepared and are going to face poor or no reception. For those who didn't get around to doing anything...I guess you will be making phone calls and waiting in line.

I don't understand how anyone in the inner cities can watch TV over airwaves. I've never been able to get a decent signal in any major city without cable.

I have my computer hooked up to my LCD TV, and use a wireless keyboard and mouse. I see no reason for everyone not to do this. Kill your TV.

No, I do not live in my Mother's basement.

I've known about this switch back in 1994. We talked about it in my radio broadcasting class.

Gee so many TV haters...my my....anyway the government made a bundle selling air space with the change to digital..actually a good move for everyone....the discount tickets mailed out were a bargain for the government...and i for one appreciate the free converter boxes i was able to get with the tickets..thank you very much .
i do not plabn to throw out any analog TV sets until they die a natural death..the digital to analog converter will work fjust fine thank you. with more and more TV shows available in HD on my PC that i can watch on my 20 inch flat wide LED screen i am as happy as a can be....

and just because most tv programing is dreadful not all tv programing is worthy of contempt...some stuff is pretty good and some of you TV less folks have missed some nice things. to bad for you. So insist on the pewter plates if you will.. ( hint "The Mouse That Roared " ) some of us will get the gold ones.

Exactly, I don't watch reality shows and watch news shows with a grain of salt. But with 200 channels I find many channels to watch. I guess they don't like the History Channel, Discovery, Planet Green, HGTV and so forth. They wouldn't want to expand their mind and heck might actually learn something.

The comment in the statment issued by Mr. Obama that I appreciate most of all:

"I WANT TO BE CLEAR: THERE WILL NOT BE ANOTHER DELAY."

Oh, praise Jesus! I am so tired of hearing about this. The millions of households that are not ready may just not want to upgrade. Perhaps they found out they can live with out TV.

I can only add, Do NOT delay again. Just DO it for Christsake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
