I Like ItI Don’t Like It

A home featured in the 1980s classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off is on sale for $2.3 million, MSNBC reports. Located in the well-to-do Highland Park neighborhood outside of Chicago, the property is best known as the home of Bueller's curmudgeonly friend Cameron.

Last week, we pointed out that the home had already drawn a lot of interest from potential buyers, and we put together some memorable scenes.

Check out MSNBC's video tour below:

I don't want that house. I'll end up like Cameron!

An historic and architectural landmark...but they never mention who made it...just the Bueller reference.
Thanks for the lack of information!

Welcome to my home

I'm Rich N' Powerful. I've acquired economic power that's resulted in an elevated socio-economic status and disproportional influence over the lives of the less successful; and those who have utterly failed or refused to participate. I am the proud owner of all the symbols of conspicuous consumption!

Are people really that wrapped up in pop culture they give damn?

Pop culture is a vacation from reality. Franky, following it is healthy.

I should add that when I was going through the initial stages of severe Paxil withdrawal and akathesia hit (causes severe, almost uncontrollable suicidal ideation, very common with SSRIs) seven months after getting off the poison, this was one of the movies that got my mind off the terrible things that were going on in my head. "Field of Dreams" was another one, and "Clueless" another one. I couldn't watch anything that was upsetting or violent. My pets, entertainment like this and my online support group is what kept me grounded. I could not get any kind of medical help, as doctors don't believe that this happens. So you say could that Ferris Bueller helped save my life.

Well, to tell you the truth, this movie is pop culture, if this what you call pop culture. Frankly, the movie is a classic in the best sense of the word. My son was a year old when this movie came out, I was 29 then, I am 53 today and the day I don't get a blast out of this movie I'll know I'm old too old then.

I feel the same way about "Clueless." Just plain great entertainment at any age.

The Ferrari in the current house seems to be either a 288 GTO or just a 308. Nice house and car.

Your right, not today but 30 years with two incomes we could. West of Green Bay, East of Crawford, North of Golf and South of Central. Middle to Upper Middle Class. Great schools and neighborhoods. Was dry when I was there as holdover from the WCTU power days.
