I live in Manhattan. I've seen her in person though it's been about two years. Her makeup was undetectable, and she looked very good. She was also gracious.

I agree that this is a very unflattering photo of Brooke. However, I've seen her a lot lately in commercials, as well as Lipstick Jungle and she is, as she has always been, a strikingly beautiful woman. I'd love to see some photos of these trolls that are ripping her apart on this blog.

wow, how low. Although the reporter was a supposed friend of her mother's for over 10 years he should have never done that. Being a national enquirer reporter obviously doesn't require scruples. I would have sued the piss out of the paper and had a judgment placed against them. Any money awarded could have then be given to charity. Make the lawyer do his damn job for once. A settlement is a crappy solution to this incident. I never would have settled if it had been my loved one.

So, blowing this story out of proportion, when Mrs. Shields ASKED the reporter she knew for a decade to take her to lunch/shopping - and said reporter got permission from the staff - is unacceptable. Ditto, speaking publicly during this debacle about when she lost her virginity. Desperation anyone? Who cares?

Brooke Shields would be NOTHING were it not for her mother...w­ho is now dependent and lonely. Brooke will have HER turn...bec­ause her "career" is on a downward slope - for good reason.

I saw Brooke in Manhattan last year, and this photo looks good compared to how she is aging. Genetics may bless you early, but may not last. I was shocked when I saw her because she is still young - and I know women in their 50s who have aged better.

I would have preferred to see the National Enquirer "editors" and "reporters" be prosecuted instead.

They couldn't be because Mrs. Shields has known the reporter for a decade - and ASKED to be taken to lunch/shopping. The reporter got PERMISSION from the staff first. Brooke had a hissy fit because she knows her mother is being neglected and lonely in this assisted living facility - not because of lack of quality, but because of lack of family visits. Brooke doesn't want this known.

The woman has dementia, she should not be taken anywhere unless her family gives permission.

The nursing home made a mistake, this shouldn't have happened.
