Christian Group Blesses Sotomayor Confirmation Hearing Room With Oil (VIDEO)

A Christian group called "Faith and Action in the Nation's Capital" went to the room in the Senate Hart Building where the confirmation hearing for Sonia Sotomayor is likely to take place in order to bless the room, CBN's David Brody reports. A YouTube video shows Rev. Rob Schenck anointing the doors of the room with oil and explaining that "we are here to pray today that this will be a truthful process for the American people."

That room is ours, it is public, and it is for government. This not only reeks of the Dark Ages (as another commenter suggests), but it is once again a sign that the government gives special privileges to Christian groups, when they should be allowing no one the ability to mix religion with governance. This makes me sick. It is an outrage.
