In a sign of growing concern in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's government over US President Barack Obama's Middle East policies, Minister-without-Portfolio Yossi Peled proposed Israeli sanctions on the US in a letter to cabinet ministers on Sunday.

People we have to understand that also, the majority of Israelis are not like that. The few such as in the government, the elite and the settlers are intoxicated with power and ego because they got emboldened by Bush Administration and pro Israel groups here in the States. The majority want to live in peace with Palestinians.

So, Israel should buy make their purchases of military and civilian goods from other countries. Is he so ignorant that he doesn't know that our billions in military and civilian aid must be spent for American products?

For most of its existence, foreign aid has really been a way to indirectly subsidize our military-industrial complex, our agricultural industry, Caterpillar, Portland Cement, Brown and Root, Halliburton, et al. Our politicians are generous only to themselves. They always have caved to Israel because they wanted the support of the Jewish Lobby.

There cannot be any peace agreements in the area while Israel continues to build new settlements and enlarge the existing ones. It seems that Obama is insisting that Israel cease such expansion in order to get an agreement. It doesn't mean he hates Jews. It means that the leadership over there has no intention of making peace until there is no one left to make peace with.

Wouldn't you just love to hear what the general public in Israel is saying...not the extremists? Do the people of Israel know how dependent they are on US aid? The other question is, who would the Jewish Americans back if they had to make a choice? When a foreign talking head is trying to manipulate the American elections, don't they think there would be backlash? Political rhetoric is flying so high these days, maybe he is backing Cantor?
