Anyone who has seen Tim Burton's movies knows that he posseses a unique perspective. His artistic sense is on full display in his movies. Burton's Batman movies stand out for their industrial darkness,Sleepy Hollow for the gadgetry of Depp's investigator, the campiness of the Mars Attacks! Martians, and let's not forget the look of Beetlejuice.

Too bad this exhibit is on the East Coast.

"There is no other living filmmaker possessing Tim Burton's level of accomplishment and reputation whose full body of work has been so well hidden from public view," Maggliozi said.

Sorry, I call BS on this. Two words: David Lynch

I agree, and including - up until recently, anyway, re: hidden from public - the Coen Brothers as well.

David Lynch? Not even in the same class artwise.

Lynch is a disturbing director.

See Eraserhead if you doubt that.

I can only imagine how wonderful his art works must be...and if I was in the New York area, I would visit MoMA in an instant.

How could the art NOT be good coming from the guy who gave us "Ed Wood", "Batman", the headless horseman movie (forget the name at the moment), etc.

Sleepy Hollow. Ed Wood is a fine film. And his wife Helena is a remarkable artist and babe.
