I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Fresh off making headlines for calling President Obama a "false prophet" at a GOP fundraiser, actor Jon Voight appeared on Bill O'Reilly's show Tuesday night to continue pressing his case against Obama.

After a quick name-checking of Julius Caesar--as in Obama thinks he is a "soft-spoken Julius Caesar"--Voight got down to business, making the case that Obama is "a fellow who's bringing us to chaos and socialism." [scroll down for the transcript.]

O'REILLY: Wow!

Here now, Mr. Voight.

So what -- what is your essential beef, when you just cut down -- it

was a long speech you gave -- with President Obama?

Story continues below

What -- what's the main complaint?

VOIGHT: Well, it is essentially this, Bill, if I had to break it

down. We were warned by Hillary Clinton that he had no experience, that

he had no qualifications. We were warned by his now vice president, Joe

Biden, he had no experience. So he was a novice.

And now we're getting what we could have expected, if we had

listened. We have a fellow who's bringing us to chaos and socialism.

O'REILLY: I don't see any chaos. In Iraq he's pretty much doing

what Bush did. He's keeping the soldiers there. There may be chaos

when we start to withdraw, but right now it's...

VOIGHT: The chaos I'm speaking of is economic chaos.

O'REILLY: OK. But let's stay -- let's stay with foreign policy and

we'll get into...

VOIGHT: OK.

O'REILLY: ...because you made some points about Julius Caesar, wants

to convince the world. Obviously, you feel he's naive and idealistic.

VOIGHT: Well, I feel he's weak.

O'REILLY: You feel he's weak?

VOIGHT: Just exactly why we have this muscle-flexing from Korea.

Nothing's happening. They...

O'REILLY: What would you do, though?

I mean, you know, we've talked this over. It's a very tough

situation in Korea.

VOIGHT: Well, this is -- there must be a response.

O'REILLY: What kind of a response?

VOIGHT: Well...

O'REILLY: See, now we're getting into a really tough area.

VOIGHT: No -- are you -- do I have the experience to say something

that deeply needs to be said?

I have a, you know, a head on my shoulders, and I can think of a few

things. But certainly they should be let to know that there are going

to be consequences.

Jon Voight;
Should be making pace with his daughter instead of making a political statement on Foxnews.

I don't get it... While you may disagree with him, why do you care? If you believe he should not have said it, then you are the true bigot. Of course, the US give way too much weight to their celebrities in the media circus (you even elect them president and governor), but given their artificial status (even if they have no authority on their subject), Jon Voight have the rights to express his views if he feel like it. They made a whole lot more sense than all the insane FoxNews pundits. Anyway, not surprised of the responses here, I think huffpost is a replica of FoxNews.. as dumb here as they are there.

But now Hillary is working for him, so you should revise how truthful her warnings were at the time.

I hate to say this, but I don't think we should make light of Jon Voight's comments. His kind of rhetoric is what got Dr. Tiller murdered. Calling Obama the 'false prophet' is akin to calling him the 'antichrist," and suggests the Right is attempting to organize around this concept. I would urge all of us who want world peace, prosperity, and human exploration of our galaxy, to prepare to meet this insanity as the threat it is to our vision.

He may have a point about the chaos but from what I can see it is being caused by idiots spewing the same bile and hate that he is.

It is some measure of the Republican Party's desperation that in the midst of an economic crisis -- inherited from the Bush Administration, but surely to be Obama's problem in the 2010 and 2012 elections -- they have nothing constructive to offer and are forced to turn to parodies of the right, such as Voight, Palin, Gingrich and Limbaugh to provide a voice for their concerns.

They have to do better to remain credible and viable in elections, rather than television ratings.

1. How has Obama lied? I have a Tax cut in my Paycheck, You didn't get yours? Show me where the Tax increase was taken out of your Paycheck?

2. I Guess The TARP Program Was Obama's And Not Bush's Plan Now. TARP Was Bush's Plan Not Obama's The GOP Love Rewriting History

3. The Economic Crisis Is Bush's Fault and Not Obama's He is Spending Money to Fix the Problem instead of letting a catastrophic Failure across the Board. If the Government did not front Capital to these Banks Millions of Americans would have be jobless and on the Street. Again Bush started giving the TARP and Bail-Out Money not Obama. American Unions have protected workers for Years and when a CEO Make 364 times the Pay an Average Worker makes when just in the 60/70s it was on 24 times, then they run Companies into the Ground because of Pure Greed Pleas Spare me ! You have to Spend Money To Make Money That is the Law of Economics. The TARP Money is a Loan let's not forget that.

Please Read:

An average Chief Executive Officer paid 821 times minimum wage earner, who earns just $5.15 per hour. CEOs earns more before lunch on the very first day of work in the year than a minimum wage worker earns all year.

It seems that a lot of people from both sides are confused about the bailout, stimulus, and budget bills. These are three different things. The bailout was passed during Bush's reign to loan banks money to keep them afloat, the stimulus was early in Obama's presidency intended to improve the economy and create jobs, and the budget is for 2010 to implement the programs that President Obama campaigned on. Everybody, please stop calling the bailout the stimulus and blaming Obama for it! And the same for other combinations of confusion.

By the way, it is often said that WW2 ended the great depression and that is true, but it wasn't WAR that did it, it was the massive government spending for the war that did.

Can't believe Joe Buck's learned nothing even after Coming Home. Does he understand scripts he acts?
Still conflicted after backing the transvestite without an upper lip.

Suddenly, I have some sympathy for Angelina.

And is Jon Voight starting to look like Charleton Heston, or do I need more coffee?
