Charlie Rose: I'm "The Fourth Emanuel Brother"

At the end of Michael Cieply and Brooks Barnes' A1 story on the ascension of Ari Emanuel as Hollywood's top dog is an anecdote about one of Ari's clients, Charlie Rose: he's so close with the family he considers himself the fourth brother!

Mr. Rose, a friend who describes himself as "the fourth Emanuel brother," acknowledged that something about Mr. Emanuel's status has changed in recent weeks.

"It seems to have kicked to another level," Mr. Rose said. "A convergence of things has enabled him to be seen at a more commanding height."

The Emanuel brothers — White House Chief of Staff Rahm, bioethicist Ezekiel, and superagent Ari — are widely renowned for their great success in disparate fields and for their tenacity.

Charlie Rose is the best interviewer on television. If someone had a book they wanted to sell, they definitely should go on his show. He gives his guest time to really delve in to their product/lives.
