I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Here's a great media feud for your Wednesday in June! In one corner, MSNBC's Starbucks-sponsored glee club, Morning Joe, and in the other corner, place-where-the-kids-get-their-news-these-days The Daily Show. See, it goes like this: Jon Stewart, as is his wont, made fun of the recent Morning Joe/Starbucks co-branding. And then Joe Scarborough got mad, because obviously their big show of Starbucks-loving was an over-the-top joke, of epic Del Closian dimensions, and surely there was someone at The Daily Show who could discern this. But Stewart and his writers chose to make sarcastic fun of Morning Joe again. It's almost as if the lesson here is that maybe if you go out of your way to set up jokes for professional comedy writers, they will hand you your ass, with humor!

Anyway, Joe Scarborough was on the air today "speaking out" on this again, because he's angry at Jon Stewart. Or maybe he's not! Maybe this is one big joke, and if you take it seriously, you're the big dumb jerk with no sense of humor! Who knows? There's an art to having it both ways, I guess. And, hey, for all I know, maybe this "feud" is all one big fake out like the Bruno-Eminem gag from the MTV Movie Awards. Maybe everybody on both shows planned for Jon and Joe to be taint-to-face at this very moment, for comedy. I know this makes me want to buy Starbucks coffee like it was going out of style, which it surely is, because of the recession.

Anyway, here's a video of Joe Scarborough calling Jon Stewart a "very, very, angry guy" with a "Napoleonic complex." Because he's short! Like Napoleon! The joke just works on so many levels. Truly, this is an evenly matched battle of wits.

So, former Congressman Joe Scarborough, who pontificates on if WE the People were only wise enough to listen to HIM (Joe), America would be in good condition... That is, when Joe is NOT simply abusing Mika right in front of America that is... Sorry EGO JOE, your behavior drowns out your words....

But then again JOE, you also believe America should Torture to protect America, even though that means WE would no longer be America... But it's just a violation of OUR Constitution and signed Treaties... But JOE, Mika and Pat think (ooops, I meant react, not think) that is just fine by them.... Hopefully OUR children will not listen to the Anti-America rhetoric coming from this show!

"Fake" news has been far more honest, informative, and revealing then real news for a while now. Though I never would accuse "Morning Joe" of being real news. Nor even fake news. I would accuse it of being a pannel of oppinionated pompass jerks.

I am not a college kid. 37 year old Army vet. Stewart rocks.

Joe is a fool to take on Jon Stewart - remember Jim Cramer? And is MSNBC too cheap to provide coffee for their morning personalities? Did they really have to buy their own coffee before Starbucks became a sponsor?

I agree that Scarborough is starting to think way too highly of himself. He's not nearly as cool as he thinks he is and no matter what he says, there is always that less-than-sly look of superiority and condescension on his face. I'm glad to to see others recognize his disrespectful attitude toward Mica. Although he has toned that down a little bit lately, he generally treats her very dismissively and I'm surprised the producers don't get on him for it. That said, she doesn't seem to be all that quick and she gets left in the dust during some of those conversations. I find it hard to believe she contributes anything to their radio show. Even so, Congressman Joe (a complete nobody before this cable thing) should calm down. "Scarborough Country" wasn't exactly must-see TV.

Joe has a tough time concealing his surpressed anger. Wasn't long ago he walked off the Chris Mathews show. Love it when someone gets under Joe's skin, it doesn't take much.

Every subgroup needs a spokesman.

For the near-intelligent and almost-aware, Joe's got it covered.

Oh how I wish MSNBC would trade Joe Scarborough to Fox News for Shepard Smith.

Hey Joe, I will even throw in some Starbucks' coupons.

Live by the sword die by self-water boarding!

That’s what happen on morning joe when LARRY’O read off a list of conservative NO’s

Slavery, voting, women, workers, old people, poor people, veterans, Hispanics, choice, minorities of every persuasion rights, did I leave anyone or anything out? Civil Rights! All Liberal Ideas! How about SS, Veterans Benefits, Congress retirement and lifetime health care plan, Unions, corporations all have a liberal taint. Who’s for killing off these programs, well maybe congressional benefits.

Joe/MSNBC/Starbucks told us that HE is the LAST BEST HOPE, with shattered ideas. I don’t see how he comes back from this. He is the best case for Darwinism, some of the species don’t make it, they die off. That’s is a good thing!

He is a part of his party that’s stuck on stupid, but that extends to all conservatives in this mindset and its rearward thinking. I don’t see how moderates can stay in this party hoping to change it. Maybe they would be better of being an Independent. Religion and guns has captured this party, the party of fear. newt, be afraid be very afraid, I’ll lead but you go first. The party that tells North Korea, yes you can and we to love torture. Scarborough is the master of knowledge on water boarding, a CIA person told him it works.

Maybe Lawrence O'Donnell & Nora O'Donnell can save this time slot on MSNBC but Starbucks just made an ASS of themselves.
