I would love to watch Sanford try and run for the GOP top spot in 2012.

I hope that this situation does not escalate. Seems to me that so much is happening that we should really be concerned about the spiraling of provocative talk.

I know exactly how you feel. In the last week alone we had a Dr. murdered in church, in front of family, for giving LEGAL abortions, churches burnt, etc. Kind of makes me wonder what history will say about the 1st decade of the new millennium.

Actually, the face of the GOP has become the face of unhinged hate and anger, so Cheney's sneering visage is really the perfect representative!

President Obama has set the bar so high, the Republicans cannot see it. The GOP is a party of politicians. There are no statesmen, with the possible exception of Jon Huntsman. President Obama is a stateman.

Oooooohhhhhhhh, Mark Sanford done gone and done it now. He just dissed Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh, by basically saying that they should not speak for the Republican Party as they ain't nothing but trouble. Oh man, he done gone and got himself in a "double whammy tag team" chocked full of man-love for each other, of Rush and Dick.

Here we go again, as we wait for Sanford call up the Rush Limbaugh radio clown show in the next few days, to beg and plead for forgiveness for speaking out against Rush and Dick. And Rush will also make him apologize to his man-love Dick Cheney. Not only that, once Liz Cheney gets to flapping her jaws with that terradactyl voice of hers, from every news media that will let her, and comes out against Sanford in defense of her daddy, he'll apologize for sure, just to get her to be quiet. We've already got the "apology pool" started this afternoon, right after we saw the article.

What is it about Republicans that put the lowest value on education. I could care less what the "grownups" do themselves, but at least give the younger generations of Republicans options by allowing them to get education. It seems that's how they intend to keep the party "under control", by keeping 'em stupid and uneducated with no goals or dreams in life. This is way beyond sad and pathetic. SET YOUR PEOPLE FREE REPUBLICANS!!!

Personally I think that is about to come to a bitter end and there is going be a revolt within the republican party. The mass media talking heads, Limbaugh, Hannity, OReilly, Beck, Coulter, Malkin et al are going to be thrown under a bus and basically their meal ticket as speakers for conservative republicans is going to be torn up and thrown away. As for Cheney and his team, the rest of the party is no longer interested in going down some self destructive path in order to keep them out of jail.
So you are shortly to see some really bitter infighting to break out in the republican party, those trying to get rich quick, those trying to keep out of jail and actual real conservative republicans, it wont be over fast and it it likely to get very ugly and possible involve some deaths whether suicide or via more nefarious methods but Fox Network failure with the tea party charade pretty much guarantees that the real conservative republicans and going to win.

Probably a good idea for Sanford to shut his pie hole as well.

At least Sanford had the beans to take on Cheney, unlike toadying Tim Pawlenty who made the absurd statement that Cheney is "worth listening to".

Forget about Dick, Liz Cheney is going to leave her dad in the dust. I'm watching her on CNN with James Caraville. King has had to ask her several times to stop interrupting. This woman is a steam roller, and not a dumb one. I've watched her on way to many shows lately and she just keeps talking over her opposition. She looks rude and pushy, but in the end she gets the most air time.

Tonight Larry asked her if it was troubling to Republicans that there was no leader in sight for their party. She proceeded to take a left turn from his question and talk about how troubling it is for Americans to see Obama in Cairo denying that America is the most exceptional country in the world.

Honest to God, it's freaking scary. Reminds me of the brown shirts of history, kept in thrall to their leader because he kept telling them how exceptional they were, how superior they were and finally how deserving of life they were compared to anyone unlike them.

Cheney isn't the voice of the Republican Party. You don't see him talking about health care, taxes, the bailout. No it's only one thing that he talks about and that's Gitmo torture. His signature is all over the "enhanced interrogation" aka torture policy, and the blowback of this "policy" is going to come back on him. Cheney's party was never the republican party. It's always been the . Cheney' party.

Why not have Cheney speak for the GOP? They agree with him, and that's his party. He is an ex VP... why not? He says what others are afraid to say and pulls the cover off of the hiding politicos of the GOP.

The only thing Cheney's trying to do is keep his sorry @ss out of a war crimes tribunal -- where it belongs.
