Its not a very pretty result. My transgendered friend explained to me the process and that science wasnt quite up to par on the female to male side. It gets pretty messy. At some point you think you would just say, screw it. I will go with what I have.

Any person who has a problem with a sex change should also have a problem with all cosmetic surgeries (unless there is a true "deformity" and even that's subject)

The only legitimate problem I can see with people having a problem with this is taking hormones. However, that's a person's personal choice.

They say ignorance is bliss... not really... it's spiteful.

i have a bigger problem with cosmetic surgery than with sex change ( at least sex change is an identity issue and not just vanity) but i do have problems with all elective major surgeries and hormones...too unhealthy.

Besides, Chaz Bono was a strong advocate of GLBT rights before the transition, no reason to stop the work now.

I think the surgery, hormones etc. for gender change are "yuck," but more power to someone who wants to go through it.

People are entitled to say yuck to anything they wish. I have seen a post op female to male and it looks very "yuck" to a lot of people.

We have to make sure we are not demanding that peoples thoughts match our on on everything or words like racism and homophobia are meaningless.

After the process is complete, she will (he will) no longer be a gay woman. But will Chaz still be gay? Obviously Chaz will still be interested in women, but will gay women still be as welcoming? Yes, gay, lesbian etc are all labels, but what will he be? Heterosexual? This is kind of confusing to me...

When a person changes their sex, it can change their orientation. There have been cases where a male turned female still is attracted to females, which would make the newly Her a lesbian.
