It looks like the Lance Armstrong biopic is finally pedaling forward.
The long-gestating Columbia project has brought on a writer well-versed in sports comeback stories and could shoot as early as next year, according to producer Frank Marshall.
Gary Ross, who wrote and directed multiple-Oscar nominee "Seabiscuit," has been hired to pen the Armstrong script.

They're using the IMAX format so Lance's ego will fit in the frame...
And "pnystr", I'm not impressed with Lance's fund raising for charity. I think it is all about Lance, as is everything in this cheating ego maniac's life is.

It is sad the degree to which cynicism and media sound bites have influenced people. This so called class A jerk has dedicated his life to raising money for cancer research, and has created an incredible support network for those battling cancer.
To date his foundation has raised over $250 MILLION dollars for this cause. He is now back racing professionally for zero salary to promote cancer awareness.
He has accomplished some phenomenal feats as an athlete, and had a tremendous impact of the millions of people and their families who have battled cancer.
I personally have had family members affected by cancer and I know how much his efforts have helped. His web site all posts educational articles on exercise proper diet and challenges people to get on board.
Step away from the tabloids once in awhile it's very refreshing.
Ever met him? No? I have. That means I can speak and you can't.
So what, he raises money for a charity WHICH HE RUNS. Know what that means? He gets a sweet tax writeoff.
Anyone who lives in the Austin area (where he trains) and has spent any time on the 360 loop (where you will frequently see him) or watches the news knows what a jerk this guy is.
I'm afraid Matt Damon won't make a very good Armstrong. His head is not big enough.
I used to be a great admirer of Lance. I followed the Tour year after year, proud of our American champion. Until his infamous vendetta ride against Filippo Simeoni in the 2004 Tour, that is. Never again will I support that arrogant a$$. I love the yellow rubber "Cheat to Win" bracelets that The Onion sells, spot on!
Great, a story about a Grade A jerk that will pad the wallet of said grade A jerk.
