The GOP seem to forget that even Bush with his limited intellectual capacity ended torture long before the end of his term.

It's only the vile people in the Bush administration like Cheney who rejected ending torture and are still proposing it be done. These are war criminals and if properly tried and convicted would be given the death sentence.

The past 8 years have made America the most despicable Country in the world and this was all done without the use of any photos. Obama is doing an excellent job at trying to win over or moderate some of these opinions but the fact remains there are hundreds of thousands of friends and families that have lived through these horrors.

Condoning the events of the past 8 years fortifies the anti American thoughts and rhetoric as it depicts the U.S. as a barbaric nation without rule of law and a corrupt judicial system to everyone watching.

It is impossible to know for certain what the next few years will bring but without accountability the chance of an improved image is as remote as the South Pole in the eyes of the world.
