Anyone whining about President Obama not bringing troops out of Iraq, read this. It is happening but just not in front of our face day in and day out. If John McCain had been elected, this would NOT be happening.

Good. It's all theirs. Let's get the eff out. They can ratify that sentiment by having a national referendum to decide if we should get out early by 6/10 with their full consent. We should make it clear, once we start to leave, there is no turning back. You are on your own come what may.

People need to understand that--unfortunately--democracy does not happen overnight.Any approach with a view to achieve democracy anyway and now is dead on arrival.

Democracy is a CULTURE to be cultivated and nurtured over time. Once this simple fact is grasped, it would be easier to formulate and implement ideas about how best to encourage democracy where it has not taken roots.

An Sunni leader who was critical of Maliki's government due to alleged mistreatment including torture of prisoners and of women was gunned down today outside the mosque where he attended Jummah services. His comments criticizing Maliki were made just yesterday.

Master, indeed.

Maliki is now "Master?" I'm totally stunned. Boy, I'm sure no one saw this coming!

Iraqi and foreign reporters were invited, but when a senior American military officer arrived, a major general from Mr. Maliki’s Office of the Commander in Chief told him to leave. “We apologize to you, but this is an Iraqi meeting and you’re not invited,” the general said. Neither officer would give his name.

LOL! Our puppet government will turn on us just as other regimes have done in the past. We never learn anything from history and are d00med to make th same mistakes over and over. There is no realistic reason to believe that this government will be favorable to the US down the road. In fact, we really strengthened Iran with the removal of Sad.dam.

I'd like to remind you that strengthening Iran and massively undermining our national security interests in the Middle East is one of the major ways he kept us safe.
