Susan Boyle

Mail Online:

Perhaps it was the absence of the judges or the fact she knew she had nothing to lose.

But when Susan Boyle stepped on to the stage for the Britain's Got Talent live tour in Birmingham on Friday, she showed none of the nervousness she had demonstrated in previous performances.

The Scottish spinster, who left The Priory just nine days ago after suffering from 'exhaustion', was given a standing ovation after performing two songs.

My title could be California4Obama. I also love and admire Susan Boyle. As the tours progressed she became many times more magnificent! I think "memories" is considerably better than "Dreamed a Dream" and I suspect other songs will come along that will be even better. What a voice and presence that lady has. She is sweet, kind and generous. She is also emotional when under a lot of pressure. She comes from a close knit, hard scrabble town in Scotland. She is a real person who has been developing her talent since she was a child. Who is not exhausted when they head into a new job and what ordinary person would not be overwhelmed by extreme fame. Go for it Susan! I applaud you all the way.

Update on Diversity...

JACKO [Michael Jackson] signed Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity as support act for his London shows days before he died, The Sun can reveal.

The dance troupe - whose moves were inspired by the superstar - were to have been paid 10,000 'pounds' a night. The 50 shows at the O2 were worth a whopping 500,000 'pounds'.

A source close to the dancers said: "The boys signed their deal last week. They were over the moon. It was a once-in-a-lifetime gig."

If Texas4Obama
wants to show his ignorance and post saying Susan Boyle is a bad singer that is his perogative.LOL
He's entiteld to his opinon just as we are entitled to ours.
( millions of US by the way.)
Susan Boyle's tour has been going strong with standing ovations and out pouring of love from the audience that thrills her fans who have attended these performances, many travelling across the world to do so.
She does not perform every show because as with the other performers she is allowed time out.
Also she gets paid something like $24,000 an apearance.Sure beats being an out of work 47 year old spinster living in Blackburn Scotland.
Besides that Simon Cowell has signed her to a two album recording contract believed to be worth $11,000,000 he has provided her with a $2,000,000 luxury flat in London with tight security. Her cat Pebbles and a relative and a friend from Scotland for company.
Get over it you jealous pratts. Theirs is a partnership stronger than a lovers knot.

Perhaps Ms. Boyle will be more comfortable in the recording studio. I'd certainly buy her CD I think her voice is beautiful.

She has a beautiful, Broadway quality voice, the type that fills a room and sends shivers up your spine. She is really quite amazing for someone untrained. If she is going to do covers, someone needs to work with her on really broadening her repetoire. There is a multitude of wonderful music for a voice like hers: Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Bacharach and David, Meinken, Sondheim, Ira Gershwin, Alan Jay Lerner, Irving Berlin kind of music.

Maybe she doesn't want to tour, but if she does, they need to ease her into it. Let her spend the next few months privately preparing for a tour, as there is more to the prep than just singing. I think this is getting to her because it has been too much for her too quickly, and for someone else's gain, not her own.

Texas4Obama can share his opinion freely. Even if you disagree with it, that doesn't make you right. You may like her singing, but not everyone does and they can express that if they like. I have shared my opinion about her being a bad singer and have been attacked for it. I am amused that get attacked and that sharing my opinion ruffles some feathers. That makes it fun to see people make fools out of themselves. People like you set themselves up for ridicule by getting all upset.

That's the thing about you rabid Susan Boyle fans - if anyone expresses anything negative about her, you attack them without mercy. You think you are right and that everyone who disagrees is wrong. You spew your hatred so freely even though we are entitled to our own opinions.

But insulting and verbally attacking someone because they don't agree with you is crossing the line.

Susan Boyle sang one song well - but that doesn't mean she's talented. She and her rabid fans have opened themselves up to ridicule by behaving the way they have. They are the only ones to blame for that.

If you really cared about Susan Boyle, then you would ignore what these people are saying and not become so upset. Getting upset about something that's untrue just opens you up to ridicule.

Susan is the latest phenomena so handlers are trying to force stardom on this woman while they see big money. If someone acts like she did after losing BGT then goes off again after another engagement, how long are they going to keep doing this? She likes to sing, so what? That doesn't mean she needs to be a super celebrity. Let her sing locally or in a studio.

It is excellent news that BGT is living up to its promise to have Susan Boyle take it easy on the tour, performing only when she and her doctor feel she is able to do so. The
wonder is she was there at all, having just been completely wrung out by recent events. A day of
rest is well deserved and it is nice that Pebbles is with her to help her relax. I am with 2 cats as
I write this, and they sure are clowns. Susan, I am betting, will be rested up for Glasgow
tomorrow. What a reception that should be. And she will probably make a date on her own to appear
before her disappointed fans in Manchester. She seems to care as much about them as they do about her. Many people there apparently got their money back because Susan was not going to be there. Next year, perhaps BGT can come up with a more humane schedule than having performers do back to back dates and two dates in a day. Hard for even the young ones to keep up with that. As I understand it, any performer has the right to opt out of any performance for that reason. No sense dying over BGT. Cheers !

Susan Boyle forced to pull out of Britain's Got Talent shows as doctors say she must rest

Susan Boyle pulled out of the Britain's Got Talent road show last night after being told to rest by doctors.

The Scottish singer had performed in three shows over two days but did not take part in the Manchester leg of the national tour - to the dismay of fans.

It has yet to be decided if she will be well enough for tonight's show in Glasgow but it is hoped she will be on stage in Edinburgh tomorrow.

Also,:
Miss Boyle's withdrawal came after speculation she could charge up to £8,000 a minute to perform live when she has fulfilled her obligations to the show.
The star is said to have been booked by corporate clients for as much as £100,000 per 12-minute set.

From TMZ dot com:

Susan Boyle Gets "Exhausted"... Again

Who knew that taking a mentally fragile 48-year-old woman on a singing tour would create problems?

Susan Boyle -- you may remember her as a singer, or someone who very, very recently almost had an entire mental breakdown -- pulled out of tonight's "Britain's Got Talent" tour performance in Manchester. Officials are saying that Boyle's absence is nothing more than a "one off rest day."

Boyle has already performed three times on tour. That means she's only worked to the point of insanity 25% of the time.

It looks as if Susan Boyle has had one of the fastest rises and falls in history. I am sure that Pebbles the Cat, will be happy to have her home.

I wouldn't be too sure of that, happycat.

Remember, Pebbles is another victim to Susan's caterwauling.

Update: Susan Boyle cancels Manchester tour due to "needing one day off". Her agent is asking for $15,000 a minute for her to sing at a concert. See rickey.org
