Remembering Tim Russert One Year Later

NBC News paid tribute this week to "Meet the Press" host and NBC Washington Bureau Chief Tim Russert, who passed away one year ago yesterday.

Nightly News anchor Lester Holt recalled "the man who taught us all so much and showed us how to do our jobs a little better."

On Friday, Keith Olbermann described Russert as "the light" of the network. "One hour a week belonged to him and him alone." All of NBC New's programming has continued, he said, but none of it is the same.

Gregory is not terrible he's just not Tim. I miss you too. The discussion would be different if you were still around. I specially miss your laugh. We could use some of that right now.

Yep, it's not Sunday morning without a cup of coffee and Tim Russert. He may not have always been right but he loved politics and he drew me into it more each week.
I wonder how he would have reacted to the election and all that's happened and been said since then. Would like to hear his thoughts on it all.

I think of him often, I miss listening to him summarize a situation. He had the ability
to stand back view the big picture and then speak to and for the American people.

It's sad to see hateful things posted about Tim on other political sites. He was a good man and an excellent journalist. I miss him on MTP greatly. His tough questions and insight into issues were second to none.
