Iran's election result Bush#1 says was 'fishy' . As fishy, might I remind him, as his son's two bogus elections
The bubble bubble toil and trouble of the ME that Obama has inherited is a direct result of Bush#1 incompetence and Bush#2 stupidity and greed. Go now, enough already, No Bush should EVER be elected to pubic office again and definitely not to the WH.
Don't be taken in by the grampa folksy aw shucks act. He's a hard line neocon who's
been involved in covert CIA ops since the 50's. He's done stuff for mother, God, and country that would curl your hair.
He has some nerve. His son prevailed in two fishy elections, 2000 and 2004.
Because he wants to see his son in the WH. He'll be commenting over the course of the next two years or so from the middle because Jeb has to lay low at least until the 2010 elections. At that point, the low-level fundraising will start, and you'll see less of Poppy and more Jebbie. It's how the Bushes do politics; nothing new here, with the exception that the Democrats aren't going to do a thing about it until it's too late.
Oh, darn! All the best lines have been taken, so I will simply add my voice to say: No Bush should ever speak up on election results... ever.
No Bush should ever occupy the WH either, but there's one coming.
You should have questioned your son's election results in 2000 and 2004. We should have all took to the streets like the Iranians. Maybe we would not have suffered for 8 long grueling years.
How come Bush Sr., who has basically disappeared for the last 10 years, now suddenly is in the news on a daily basis, seemingly donning the robe of reasonable political sage. Is he to be the "good cop" to Cheney's "bad cop?" Are there any more "has been,"(or wannabee) Republicans they can trot out to offer their "learned opinion" to undermine the current administration? If anybody would have a perspective worth hearing on the Iranian elections, wouldn't it be Jimmy Carter. After all, he has done considerable work as an election observer in his retirement years, and he WAS the president during the last melt-down in Iran. I wouldn't want to see him come out and publicly make any rash statements (a la the Republican side) but I hope that the administration has at least tapped him for his opinion, on the QT.

He's probably right about the Iranian election being "fishy". Having been involved in at least two of them, he knows a rigged election when he sees one.
funny, he was noticably quiet on the 2000 american election results- why pipe up now, when we could care less what he says or thinks
Cute little ploy, G.H.W. Bush. Still using the ol' double-agent tricks from your days as a lackey for the CIA, huh? The election "results" in Iran came out just the way the neocons wanted it. Save the B.S. for some other venue!

he along with other like minded thinkers--(republicans)--keep claiming that history will be very favorable to his son GWB. I don't think so. Please don't tell me that they think the reforms, we are now seeing in the middle east are a direct result of Bush's cowboy diplomacy. There is no way these events can be spun to favor GWB. We all know that his policies, which are Cheney's & Rumsfeld's, have directly emboldened anti-Americanism, strengthened Al Qaeda, and cripples our ability to exert moral authority on growing hot-spots world wide. On the flip side, Obama's approach has captivated the imagination of the youth and people everywhere to aspire a more parcipitative government. The baby steps of democracy. And still we have conservatives who view Obama as weak, spineless and naive re:foreign policy--I think history will expose them for what they really are--narrow minded.
Let he who has not rigged an election and had the SCOTUS appoint their son as President cast the first stone.
