Usher's Estranged Wife Bites Back: Was 'Faithful And Loving' During Marriage

ATLANTA — A lawyer who's opposed rapper T.I. and boxer Evander Holyfield in child-support cases is representing R&B singer Usher's wife in their split.

Usher filed for divorce on Friday from Tameka Foster Raymond after less than two years of marriage. The singer whose real name is Usher Raymond IV has two sons with Foster Raymond.

Sports and entertainment family lawyer Randy Kessler said Monday his 38-year-old was a "faithful wife and loving mother." He declined to comment on the singer's conduct during the marriage.

The singer wed his former stylist in a glitzy ceremony in August 2007.

Kessler also represented rapper Mack 10 in his divorce from R&B singer T-Boz of TLC.

this probably has nothing to do with her age as some are speculating. they were friends for a long time before getting married. looks like their marriage was an arrangement designed to trick everyone into thinking he's straight and allow him to have children. i doubt he'll ever get married again and from now on you'll hear very little about his personal relationships. there has been much speculation about his orientation and that seems to be a way more plausible explanation than her age.

Demi was a professional in the same profession as Ashton. She did not start out working for him. It took them quite a while to blend her family with Ashton and her ex-Bruce. They've discussed it many times. There's a huge difference with Tameka, who was Usher's stylist and whom his mother disapproved of. Heck, working under someone you know them pretty well, at least their likes and dislikes and I assume Usher's love of hanging out was known.

Maturity plays a role too. Ashton appears very mature in interviews. Some men don't deal well with ready made families. Obviously Usher didn't. Not to put all the blame on Tameka but she worked for him and should've know a few things she was getting into.

One would only hope so. I don't care how romantic the notion of ever-lasting love is, the practical reality is that 50% of these unions just don't work.
