Obamas Receive Dozens Of Wedding Invitations Each Week

Sven Iversen and Kathryn Roe are in the final countdown to their wedding this weekend, but they still haven't received an RSVP from their most important guest: President Barack Obama.
The soon-to-be newlyweds don't know Obama, nor do they have any particular ties to his administration. But she grew up in Bethesda, Md., and the wedding will be at the Hay-Adams Hotel, right across the street from the White House, so the couple figured, why not?

There are some people who really believe that Michelle Obama is just like them, and that they could be best friends if they ever met.

I can see people having a hope or fantasy that they would attend their wedding. Perhaps their goal is to get a "sorry I can't attend" note from the WH?

That's not the point if they care and knowing the kind of people they are, do you think they would have the "I don't care attitude"? Maybe they do and they politely send letters of appreciation YET declining the invites. Boy....I'm questioning your "Southern Wisdom"...then again, you are from the South...LOL...

LOL!! Yes, it would be exciting if they showed up (which, of course, would never happen), but if they did, the upstaged bride might not be too happy. ;-) Then again, you might be allowed a dance with Mr. President.

Exactly what I was going to say, OverIt. Why not have a line in your "Wedding Book" showing that you had the Obamas on the invitation list. Especially if you scored an official Whitehouse No RSVP.

Plus it's not like they don't care you are being married, they are just way too busy and they don't know you.
