Are there really people who eat meat EVERYDAY? I'm not a vegetarian but I certainly don't eat meat everyday. I think I'd be fat and sick all the time. My mom cut down on eating meat simply based on menopause changing her appetite-- and she looks/acts 10 years younger!

As we get older we naturally become less active due to our metabolisms slowing down, or so I had been led to believe by conventional wisdom. Over two years ago, before my 50th birthday, I decided to go vegetarian. At the time I ate very little red meat, but did eat a lot of chicken and pork, the other white meat. The results have been astounding, I have lost 25 pounds, have a lot more energy and feel great. I focus primarily on eating raw foods, I live in Texas so in the summer it is just plain too hot for me to eat cooked food. In addition my skin has a healthy glow that gives me the appearance of a much younger woman. Imagine my delight when I got carded buying a bottle of wine at my age! The lady at the register thought I didn't quite look 25 so asked for ID. LOVED IT!!

Is Yoko Ono a vegetarian?

What a worthless crusade.

It's really not a worthless crusade. If everyone in the country were to give up meat just one day a week, the resulting reduction in greenhouse gas emissions would be the equivalent of all of us switching from normal cars to Toyota hybrids. I'm not a vegetarian, but I've been trying Meatless Mondays for over a month now, and it's been super easy.

Fried fish is bad for you.
The Catholic Church started encouraging fish on fridays to help New England
union fishermen whose fish price was declining!
The fish on friday tradition is outdated.
Watch out what seafood you eat much of it polluted.
Farm raised salmon is full of mercury and uses oily menhaden and herring
that are caught using lots of petroleum. The farm raised are full of lice and chemicals
to keep the lice away. Farm raised salmon pollute the area they are located in.
ORGANIC HEMP SEED OIL IS MUCH BETTER THAN FISH TO KEEP YOU HEALTHY!

People are so behind the times. Just convert to Catholicism and go for meat-free Fridays.

Go ahead, knock yourselves out. Just don't tell me to do it.
11:04 AM on 06/16/2009
No one is telling you to do anything. Are you really THAT defensive about your diet? You do realize that not eating meat is not really a big deal, right?

Let's do it! This is a great idea. I don't eat much meat, but I'm not a vegetarian. Reducing meat consumption is great for the environment, our health, and our economy. What a great idea: one meat-free day a week is one more meat-free day than most people have. Excellent!
