I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Here's a video of Jim Cramer, kicking it with Joe Scarborough, on the issue of healthcare reform. At the ready is a "stunning" poll indicating that Americans were more concerned with paying down deficits than they are about stimulating the economy. Chances are, those Americans are under the impression that the economy is already stimulated, and that attention rightly should be paid now to combating deficits down the line. Naturally, Scarborough turns this into an issue of health care reform: "Don't you think," Scarborough asks Cramer, "that this puts the Obama administration behind the eight ball on health care?" Hey, maybe a poll on support for health care reform would be a better way of placing the issue in context? Probably!

But Cramer insists, without evidence, that "when Americans hear health care reform, it just means tax increases." No chance that Americans think it might just mean, "Oh! You mean I might be able to afford asthma inhalers for my family, and what not?" Not at all! In fact, according to Cramer: "Until we get the economy moving again, I think everybody wishes that Obama would just kind of go away for a little bit."

Seems like only yesterday that the media was telling us that everyone wanted Obama to work on the economy and nothing else, forever. But now it's time to "go away." Surely, this is indeed what "everybody" wants!

I am really sick of Jim AND Joe. I really, really, really wish they both would go to Fox and I wouldn't even be tempted to see them, much less Watch them. That comedy channel has been blocked . Our house guests have noticed and, except for one couple, none have complained. THEY will never be invited again!!!

I stopped watching MSNBC in the morning a long time ago, just can't take the Joe rant every day with the enabler Ms. Micha. The only program worth watching on CNBC is Donny Deutsch, he puts on a great program, the rest is garbage.

I'm with you on the MSNBC in the morning part of your comment, SmallChange. But, I also don't watch CNBC. IMO, PBS's Nightly Business Report is a far more superior & objective program.

blahber and ObamAtomic--you're creeping me out.

Are you part of the violence prone conservatives?

I don't think Presidennt Obama has ever made an attempt to convince us that we are helpless without him. He has inspired us to take responsibility as citizens, participate in government at the grass roots level, and more. Your guys Bush, Cheney and the Re thug cabal have nothing but Fear, Hatred, Racism and Corporate Greed, and the word "No" as their message. We're sick of that message. We like the message of hope and a better country where all citizens are important—not just the Rich and Corporate America.

I think EVERYBODY just wishes that Cramer would go away permanently - not 'kind of go away'. This guy is so tainted how is it that he still has a job at CNBC? Unless CNBC is aiding and abetting his ideologies of anything goes free market bs.

How, exactly, does Jim Cramer even have a job anymore???

I guess now that he has proven he is a total huckster when it comes to finance he's being dragged in to talk about health care and politics.

Mr. Cramer has his facts about 1937 WRONG! The problem in 1937 occurred when FDR caved into pressure from the Republicans when they urged him to CUT taxes.

Don't worry, Jim.
The Obama experiment will be sent packing in 2012, ... never to be tried again. (Jimmah Carter, anyone?)
We can wait. Just hang to on your wallet until then.

Yeah our wallets were fine under the Republicans and their ideology. Oops wait scratch that, they were driving us into our second Great Depression.

JRD,
Keep dreaming. After the last 8 years Obama is a ray of sunshine. Personally, I want to enjoy it until 2016.
The Republican administration has left the country on its knees, entangled up in two wars, the economy tied in knots, China holding us by the balls and our reputation as a country rolled up in the mud.
Do you have anything better than Obama to offer?

Wow... Joe and Jim in Dim and Dimmerer. Cramer constantly amazes me with his total lack of self-awareness. Like there's no critical function in his personality that says -- maybe I should think this half-idea out before I crank up the volume and blurt it out; maybe the idea actually won't make me look cool and smart and funny to-boot, maybe I'll just be barking self-incriminating projections of my own insecurity and incompetance.
