Kenneth Starr, the lawyer who chased after President Bill Clinton and his wife, said on Thursday that he supports President Barack Obama's first Supreme Court nominee, federal appeals court Judge Sonia Sotomayor.

I understand why there are so many negative comments: some people believe that when they read the newspapers or listen to the news they know what is going on.

Come on. We don't know what was going on.

I saw Ken Starr at CSUN when he talked to students interested in law school. I was very impressed by his speech. He is an intelligent and honorable man.

The devil can cite scripture to suit his purpose. Notice that he wasn't talking to the law school graduates. If crafty = intelligent, then I'll give you that one. Honorable? Not until he apologizes to the US taxpayers for the money he squandered.

This is troubling. It is also troubling the number of republican senators who have talked with her and say they like her. What is Sotomayor telling these people? She has never stated her opinion of a womens right to choose. Do we have the opposite of a Souder appointment? Souter was expected to be a conservative but instead turned out to be an intelligent follower of the law. Could Sotomayor be the opposite? If this be the case and Obama also abandons public health care choice, then Obama will have proven to be not a progressive but just another politician trying to straddle the fence and get re elected. I have always feared this is the case.

1. Starr continues to represent Blackwater in a case involving the deaths of four contractors killed in Fallujah, Iraq in March 2004.

2.On December 19, 2008, Proposition 8 supporters named Starr to represent them in post-election lawsuits to be heard by the Supreme Court of California.

2. Should we hate all people who voted for proposition 8? Should we hate all American people who don't support gay marriage?

3. I am not a democrat, I am not a republican either. I am an independent. I am not a liberal, I am not a conservative either. I am not a religious person, and I am not an atheist either. I don't belong to any ideological group. I don't support or oppose any issue or person based on ideology. I don't adopt opinions from any ideology, I always think and form opinions based on my knowledge and my experiences.

I put the word 'our' in my comment just to point out how biased the people who post comments here. I don't take any sides - I point out bias of liberals on liberal forums and bias of conservatives on conservative forums.

NO - Not the way he did it. Using the White Water excuse and flimsy evidence of the Arkansas babe (the state trooper testimony was later recanted) he started rooting around in areas that were not germane to fitness for the presidency. The Lewinsky debacle was nothing more than a bunch of bullies ganging up on a social climber (probably threatened her with alienation of affection). They compelled the presidnent to appear and asked questions that violated every amendment in the Bill of Rights except maybe the 10th. And thus, he spent almost $50million to prove that Clinton stepped out on his wife. He's a one-man vigilante committee supported by his minions in the Congress. He is deserving of derision (along with the latest fallen hypocrite, Ensign)..
