Ling and Lee aren't the only Web journalist stuck in that type of foreign jail right now. Of the 125 journalists jailed worldwide, the Committee to Protect Journalists lists 31 who published primarily on the Web.
Why such a disproportionately high number? In part, it's a side-effect of the technology industry's rampaging creative destruction.

Yeah. forget China as means of trying to help get Ling and Lee freed.
We can't blame all of China for their oppressive government. And from the looks of gitmo, wiretaps, cameras everywhere....how are we any different? Oh we can rant about all the wrong Bush and every US President has done against the poor, immigrants, other countries and women...of course. However, what has that changed? There are countless political prisoners locked away in USA jails today also.
