Slate Magazine:

Even as Americans grow skeptical of various Democratic policies, President Obama's approval rating hovers at a robust 63 percent. People like him so much, in fact, that many say they voted for him--even when they didn't.

They simply can't admit how embarrassed they are that they voted for Sarah Palin on the GOP ticket.

This really isn't a problem. Besides, soon enough, people that actually voted for him will be denying they ever did so.

I didn't vote for anybody. I stayed home. It was either that or vote for Nader AGAIN. Here is Joe Bageant's latest over at COUNTERPUNCH.

You know, I swear I'm seeing more Obama bumperstickers after the election than before.

This is really nothing new. My mother's best friend said he would never vote for Richard Nixon, but in fact, he did. People do strange things all the time. It's either a downstream move or an upstream one.

There's a lie I will never tell.

Who would want to admit that they voted for this guy. He is a community organizer that is way out of his league. He doesn't know what he is doing, yet the BHO idol worshipers will still follow him off the cliff like lemings. Out of control spending, HUGE deficits, no clue on international issues, and an economy that he projected to be at 8% unemployment. So unemployment is now at 10% and he still dribbles out "stimulus" money to his friends. Why in the world is this guy "leading" our country?????

Remove the words community organizer and you have just described Dubya, except you could include a whole lot more failures with Shrub.

Sorry your candidate McCain didnt get to continue pro-Bush policies, thats a real shame. We would've been much better off with more of the same crap...

No Big Deal. Pres. Obama is doing a very good job of continuing those policies.

Use the copy/paste function much? You say the same thing in EVERY post. "community organizer" ? That is such a pre-election slam. That's what you're clinging to?

Do you work for Fox News or does the RNC send the talking points directly to you so you can regurgitate them?

I do know this many on this blog lie when they claim to have voted for him. You can tell by when they say things like this isnt the change I voted for. Or I voted for President Obama but I wont vote for him again. I came to this grand conclusion after his being in office for six months.

WOW, I was able to comment here. What a change of pace. There are several threads that nothing I say gets through the sieve.

Let me be clear I never voted for Bush not in 2000, not in 2004 and I have never once ever said I did. I did vote for Obama and I was proud to do it. But what is strange that even with the supposedly more people saying they voted for Obama than the story claims actually voted for him, he still doesn't have the number of votes that he supposedly received and McCain now doesn't have almost half the votes he received. So where did all those votes for McCain and Obama come from Hummmmmmm.

"Why do so many people say they voted for the president when they didn't?"

Well, everyone, you can count on me not to lie to you. I said I wouldn't vote for Obama, and I didn't.

I said I wouldn't vote for any of the three Democratic primary front-runners, because they all had a history of playing footsie to GOP interests. Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney earned my vote for President.

Obama might have been able to rope me in with a VP pick like Feingold or Kucinich. Fat chance, that.

Tell me you're not disappointed with what you've seen since January? A trillion-dollar gift to billionaires and their companies? Zero progress on economic, social, and most importantly CRIMINAL justice (i.e., BushCo war crimes)? When does the "change" begin?
