Danny DeVito Explains Drunk Behavior To Letterman (VIDEO)

Danny DeVito went on the "Late Show" last night where Dave asked him about two now infamous television appearances in which he appeared drunk. The first involved a little limoncello and "The View." DeVito had been partying with George Clooney into the wee hours before his appearance and was a little "out of sorts" as a result. He managed to turn the crazy segment into a springboard for his own brand of liquor.

The second incident is more fresh: Last week DeVito was shooting a scene for his show "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," when a reporter stopped by and got footage of DeVito drinking out of a beer can and acting flirtatious at 8 in the morning. DeVito told Letterman last night that the beer was a prop and that it wasn't filled with alcohol. He said his jabs at the reporter were actually retaliation for a short joke, and not meant as come-ons.

this guy is a real human being...talented, great sense of humor, giant heart...and he doesn't suffer fools. I like that LOL if the press want to keep going one-on-one with witty people, they deserve to keep getting burned IMO

So he got drunk. At his age he's entitled. What sort sickening though is every time this happens DeViito feels he has to go on TV and apologize or talk about it. He should keep it between him and his bottle.

Drunk people are unpredictable in their behavior, therefore, all the media folks are put in a position in which they reveal of themselves just as much as the drunk person.
