Geithner Grows Up: WATCH The Treasury Sec's Evolution (VIDEO)

Witness the new and improved Timothy Geithner! As DealBreaker put it earlier today, the Treasury Secretary has arrived. He's been everywhere lately, including a marathon session in front of Congress and an appearance on Jim Lehrer just in the last few days. And he's showing none of the cringe-worthy stiffness he had when he took over in February.

As you'll see below, his first press conference was just about as awful as it gets. Here's how the New York Times described it:

"Initial reviews for the man and his plan were not good, however. Stock markets slid through the day, perhaps spurred downward by withering punditry on the business-news cable channels faulting Mr. Geithner for not providing more details, particularly on stemming home foreclosures."

He did not cheat. It was a error caused through using the tax software. If you do not put in things the software does not ask you, it is very easy to leave something out. It happens every day, which is why the IRS amends people's tax returns every day. He did not cheat.

Bush lied though, and THAT is a fact.

Does it bother anyone that Geithner basically said it's OK for the Federal Reserve to loan trillions to banks it does not supervise? That it is OK to preserve the secrecy of the Federal Reserve? Ask yourself, "Why?".

They want us to believe that Fed secrecy is the only way to a sound economy. That without secrecy, the Fed can be subject to political influence. This is a completely asinine and groundless argument, but a majority of the American public will believe it just because they'll say it frequently. Just like a majority of Americans believed Iraq had something to do with 9/11. Face it, The banks have more power and representation in government that the people do.

Chuck Schumer said he may "reluctantly" agree to transfer power to the Federal Reserve. Which means it will happen.

Shumer, Dodd, Frank, et al, will stop HR1207 and S604, the bills to audit the Federal Reserve. They are all bought and paid for by the banks.
