Jeff Goldblum Makes Impassioned Plea For Flies On Colbert (VIDEO)

Colbert called Obama a murderer Wednesday night, after the president killed a fly during an interview with CNBC. Stephen interviewed the fly's widow, and paid loving homage to a life that lasted only hours.

Last night, Colbert continued to hammer the president saying the swatting was "vicious" and "a shocking abuse of executive power." He thought he was only in his plight (alone with PETA) until actor Jeff Goldblum appeared out of nowhere to tell Stephen he was not the only one who loved flies. Goldblum, best known for roles in "Jurassic Park," "Big Chill," and "Independence Day," made his breakthrough into stardom by playing the fly in David Cronenberg's 1986 hit.

In a touching scene, Goldblum gave an impassioned speech about the importance of flies and demanded an apology from Barack Obama for his brutal act of violence.
