Police: Woman Skinned Puppy To Make Belt

MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma (AP) -- A 23-year-old woman who got a friend to kill her Jack Russell terrier was charged with skinning the puppy to make a belt out of its hide.

Krystal Lynn Lewis and Austin Michael Mullins, 26, were being held Friday in the Muskogee County jail on $25,000 bail each. They were charged with one felony count of cruelty to animals.

A Muskogee County judge ordered a mental competency hearing for Lewis.

Lewis wanted the puppy, named Poplin, killed because it was a gift from a female ex-lover with whom she doesn't get along, said Muskogee County sheriff's deputy George Roberson.

Roberson said Mullins shot the terrier 10 times with a .22-caliber pistol. Lewis skinned the animal at her apartment and nailed the hide to a board.

Ya know, she could have gotten rid of the dog by taking it to a local shelter. They would have gotten a new home for the puppy. And it would have been out this gals life, so she wouldn't be reminded of her ex-lover.

A win-win situation.

So, she kills a puppy to get back at the ex-lover. That's what it amounts to.

It's only sick because of our western cultures perspective. It wouldn't be considered sick in asian countries. Dogs are cool, especially Jack Russel terriers, but I once ate dog in Korea in a nice restaurant, a one time experience. However, how this woman killed and skinned the dog sounds brutal because of lust/hatred for an ex and does seem sick.

What is the difference between a dog and a cow or a fox or an alligator?

SOCIETY as a whole has decided that cats and dogs deserve special rights that other animals don't have?

I can make a belt or a burger out of any other animals, what is the difference here?

My dividing line is simple. Human beings on one side and ALL animals on the other side.

How do you explain this dividing line?
