Barack Obama

Newsweek:

As a senator, Barack Obama denounced the Bush administration for holding "secret energy meetings" with oil executives at the White House. But last week public-interest groups were dismayed when his own administration rejected a Freedom of Information Act request for Secret Service logs showing the identities of coal executives who had visited the White House to discuss Obama's "clean coal" policies.

I love this! For 8 years we dealt with Darth Vader and his side-kick, and you couldn't find out anything or you were called unpatriotic for asking. Today most of what the gov't does is on-line and trackable and your'e complaining????? Not perfect?

Well, whoo hoo! We want perfection, right? Nothing less from our Messiah? Brother! Most Americans do NOT thing Obama is perfect, but he is way the hell better then the last gang that couldn't shoot straight and kept THEIR expenses 'off the books.'

Transparency? Even if we had total and complete transparency, someone would be looking for something that didn't get uploaded quick enough.

So you believed Obama's campaign promises. When will the gullible people of this nation wake up? Let me guess, never? Obama lied and your surprised. The only change that has occurred since he took office is his friends are richer and we are poorer and worst of all in debt so badly we may never get out. All so the wealthy can continue to tell us how we need to live our lives. The people that continue to support Obama are no different then the ign0rant people that supported Bush. When are people going to see things as right and wrong rather then left and right? Stop supporting a corrupt system. You think these wealthy elite really care about you? They're using you. You owe them. And for what? What have they done for you? What have you really gained for all the money you've given them? Every man woman and child now owes $210,000. What did we get for that? Tell me you liberal Obama junkies. What are we getting for our money?!
Ron Paul was right. We need to bring home all the troops, allow the free markets to bring down prices, end the Fed, allow sound money, limited government, decriminalize drugs allow freedom and liberty. Restore our rights and the Constitution. We've had decades of Republicans and Democrats making this country worse. When will we wake up and make a real change?

Barack Obama sealed all his college records from Occidental, Columbia and Harvard when he started his presidential run. After that I knew his promise of "transparency" was just another empty promise, "just words". Wake up.

Why is it fair to call Obama a fraud? Because he preached CHANGE and he is changing NOTHING. To those that still carry his water and exclaim with inane regularity, 'It's only been 4 months, give him a break!", well gang, the honeymoon is over, and let me tell you this: I don't have to watch an entire movie to find out it's a BAD movie. I usually can tell in the first 20 - 30 minutes if not sooner. Then I watch the rest HOPING that it will get better. But the bad movies NEVER do. We just keep watching hoping it does. OBAMA is a BAD movie. BUSH was a BAD slasher flick. But Obama was billed as "Gone With The Wind", and I'm sensing it's more like "Goonies II".

I'm sorry Obama lovers, I voted for him, but I sensed RIGHT AWAY a change in his rhetoric once he was elected; and ever since its been a hard tack to the right and nothing accomplished. On just about every single issue he has caved or switched to the status quo and the public, thinking times were about to change, have no idea how BADLY they are about to change.

Obama, you're ONE and DONE.

And yes, I'm a progressive, college educated, self employed, father of four, married Democrat.

The man has just got into office and all you people talking about the man now were never fans of Obama. No one fixes things in 5 months.

Wake up. Don't hold on til the last minute. It's not going to happen. There is a lot he could have done in 5 months. He could have kept his promises and...well, look below for more. These people are all friends and you're not one of them. Stop believing in these politicians. Please wake up!

Very well said. "It's only been 5 months, it's only been 5 months" I'm tired of this lame excuse. I had hopes Obama was going to restore the rights that Bush had taken away from us. He could have done that immediately. He's had many opportunities to change our image around the world by going after those torturous criminals instead he protects them. He could have put the brakes on the ridiculous government spending instead he makes it worse. Transparency? Don't get me started. That was a blatant lie. His hope and change speeches were so inspiring and every since he took office it's been more of the same. He gets on Tv everyday and tells us we must spend this on that or it will be horrible for us. The only thing he's changed is the way he speaks to us. He doesn't build us up, he breaks us down.

"Change" was what Bush ran on in 2000.

The promises of "Change" got Obama elected last year.

It seems that our gov't is still run by the same corporations and it makes no difference who is smiling at us through our TV while they feed us another line of cr@p.

Obama in 2003 on Single-Payer-
"I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program.” “I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody.

Obama in 2009 on Single-Payer-
"Let me also say that—let me also address a illegitimate concern that’s being put forward by those who are claiming a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single-payer system. I’ll be honest, there are countries where a single-payer system works pretty well. But I believe—and I’ve taken some flak from members of my own party for this belief—that it’s important for our efforts to build on our traditions here in the United States."

Sounds...different don't you think?

Anything you hear our new President do .... has a good , intelligent reason behind it...

IF he has - and I do not believe he has - must be for a good reason...
like malicious snoopers from FOX or anti this President crowds....

In our President Obama we must trust !!

those who do not like him , would like us to believe every lie they come up with

WOW are you a brainwashed follower!

"In our President Obama we must trust !!" - No we must not! Please think for yourself and stop being so gullible. That's one of the big problems with this country. Everyone wants someone else to fix everything for them. Take some responsibility and initiative and fix it yourself. No government or President is going to make our lives better. Snap out of it! When is the last time you heard anyone say, with tears," Thank God for the government!" or "Our lives have been so much better because of the government." No. It's never happened. We need to take care of each other and stop being dependent on politicians who's only job is to be reelected. Think for yourself. You can do it. Obama is not the one...we are the one!

WASHINGTON – Sen. John McCain says his opponent in last year's presidential campaign, Barack Obama, has "done well" in his first five months in the White House.

The Arizona Republican says that using a legislative scorecard to judge the presidency so far, Obama has achieved all his legislative goals.

On the down side, McCain says that Obama's successes in Congress have come with little or no Republican support.

McCain also is critical of Obama for setting a date for closing the detainee facility at Guantanamo Bay without first developing a comprehensive plan for what to do with its prisoners.

And the Arizona senator says Obama should speak out more in support of protesters in Iran.

McCain appeared Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation."

Well, Well now. McCain does have sense-who knew? Guess without Palin he can breathe now.

Universal Health care will never happen. There are too many corporate interests and they will not let it happen because they will lose money. And since all three branches of government are owned by corporations they will never let it happen.

People just don't respect the mass news about this subject, and you know very well we already have things like medicare and medicade. Universal Health care is a necessity and never say never. The great profits go to government, true, but what if they went to the people instead? I think there can be some shift in economic strategy to balance the need for medicine on a universal scale rather than plans that make you pay enormous fees to these companies to insure you are covered until or if you become ill. It's propoganda. The differences should be pointed out about who should be covered and who should be able to decide if they want their own private healthcare provider. There should not be a 'your left out' clause anywhere. Government should help those who are unable to help themselves. Help is the key word. Sometimes people are incapable of fully helping themselves. People should feel safe about their wellness and health for the future.

People need to calm down.

Obama needs to be able to have secret meetings to find out what the healthcare industry needs in the healthcare bill.

It's not going to be an effective bailout of the insurance companies with out listening to thier needs.

"Democratic senators are “running away from the government- run health care where the bureaucrat stands between the doctor and the patient,” Graham said. The Finance Committee “has abandoned” the plan, he said."

=========================================================================

Insurance company bureaucrats currently stand between the doctor and the patient, denying payment of treatment and tests ordered by doctors for their patients.

The insurance companies then take the money and award bonuses to the bureaucrats who denied the claims and to the CEOs at the end of the year.

Single payer universal health care is the way to end that, and get Americans the care that they've already paid for.
