I suspect that most of the people who actually hire illegal aliens (and therefore approve of illegal immigration) don't qualify as "extremist far leftists".
The people who hire illegal aliens are conservative Republican business people.
They don't oppose illegal immigration b/c they can exploit and abuse the people more if they are illegal.
What they do oppose is any kind of amnesty because they don't want them to have a path to citizenship, they want a permanent underclass to serve them.
I have a residence in Washington state and in British Columbian Canada. I hear Spanish spoken everyday in WA and very seldom in BC.

It questions the rational for putting peoples name on the so called terror watch list and my impression is that most of those people are there for political reasons and the no fly thing is their punishement for by politically incorrect either for support of the Palestinian cause or some other ignoble reason.

They have gone overboard. You should have the right to own a gun, but apply a little bit of reason.

These are the same people that will tell you that if they want to put broken glass, pills, cords etc.,in their baby's crib, then they have the "right" to do so...taking a gun into a bar is just about on that level. There is no connection to common sense, reality or boundaries by those who carrying guns around for "protection"...as long as they can say , "hell, it's leegull" they will gamble with life on the "I gotta have it" clause.
You should look at some crime stats before slandering law abiding permit holders, who have a much lower crime rate than the average American.

If you think the public discourse is rough now, with people calling the president all kinds of names and Democrats having to apologize everytime they open their mouths, just wait until the NRA and the gun nuts get their shorts in a bunch over some gun control legislation. Let those on the watch list buy gunes, let them fly, let them fly with guns. Let them have their guns in schools, in churches, in government building, in bars and nightclubs and national parks. Here in Arizona, the legislature wants to repeal the permit requirement and training class for concealed carry. Go ahead. Make my day. And let's have 50 state reciprocity laws for concealed carry, too. It's a God-given right.
We've been trying gun control for 40 years. Hasn't worked. Gets gun nuts riled. Arm everyone, period. Then we will have peace and quiet, literally and figuratively.

I remember when the crime bill was passed around 1994 and gun nuts went ballastic. Every year, on the anniversary of that law being passed, Clinton would point out that no person with a legal right to a firearm, no hunter, no sport shooter, has had his or her right infinged. And he was right because if some one's legal right to a firearm was infringed upon by the law, the NRA would make sure even the Martians knew about it.

The threat and act of terror, whether foreign or domestic, is the price we pay for being a free society. When loved ones are harmed, we can't usurp legal rights of individual citizens. But somebody tell me WHY we have to let domestic terror suspects have arms? Von Burr should never have been able to carry out his attack. Nor Shroeder who murdered Dr. Tiller.

Last night I watched 3:10 To Yuma.........fun, shoot-em-up-everyone-has-guns-western-isn't-the-frontier-life-great kind of movie. The world that Yuma portrays is what so many gun owners embrace. If only we were all armed to the teeth, living out our 2nd amendment rights, ending all "misunderstandings" with a bullet.........yes, life in America would truly be wonderful.
Unfortunately, we live in a country where ANY discussion regarding guns is blown out of proportion......so much so, that guns are flying off the shelves into the hands of Americans who believe President Obama and the "government" is restriction gun ownership. There is no proof of this. Please show me the legislation to prove it.
In any case, there are millions of Americans who wish they were Russel Crowe, or Arnold Schwartznegger or Clint Eastwood or some other false god to firearms. They live in the 3:10 to Yuma fantasy. I only wish they'd all move to WY or MT where they can shoot each other and have a grand old time.

last time I checked--the NRA supports disarming convicted terrorists--but opposes disarming people that have been convicted OF NOTHING
The last time I looked, their members were selling arms to every terrorist with a dime.
