Growing up with a parent in the media can do two things: first, it can expose a child to people and stories that ingrain in them a lifelong desire to be part of the business; second, it can make it a whole lot easier to land a job.

Perhaps that's why we see so many media children following in their parents' footsteps.

This Father's Day, we celebrate Media Dads and their children who have followed them into the business.

Doocey reproduced? Eeeww, there goes my breakfast. But it's somehow comforting to know that the son didn't fall far from the stupid and smarmy tree. With the exception of Matt Taibbi, many of these kids--including the son of the late Tim Russert--are in places they would never be had their parents not put them there (or in Russert's case, died). With Toocey, the question whether the son will outshine the father assumes facts not in evidence.
