My car gets around 25 MPG, yet I have an easy and fun way to double that: I use my motorcycle as much as I can.
I'll just ride my Harley-Davidson Sportster. It gets 40+ miles per gallon and is lots of fun to ride.
I might try that unleaded motor oil suggestion to see if that bumps it up to 100 miles per gallon.
Nope. Golf clubs stay in the trunk! I thought all we had to do was check our tire pressure, per P-BO!
I have 2 gaspowered mopeds ...200 mpg. 2 electric bikes 30mph and about 5 cents per 100 miles to charge.
And 2 feet which costs me maybe a pair of shoes every 2 years.
Same for your car and the highways it drives on.
I always use unleaded motor oil, even when it's not recommended by the manufacturer.
Proofread much?
Saw that!
No fact checking at that mag apparently.
1) Hyper milers will tell you that cruise control is not the best option.
2) Don't use unleaded?? It's ALL unleaded!
"1) Hyper milers will tell you that cruise control is not the best option."
Hyper milers will tell you that, but it's only true for hyper milers. For the other 99.99% of drivers, the use of cruise control will increase fuel mileage under almost every circumstance.
If you really want to improve your fuel mileage, Item 10 on the list is more important than any of the others, and should have been Number 1. An empty bike rack will increase your fuel consumption by 10%, and a rocket box is good for a 20% to 30% increase in fuel consumption. Always good for a laugh when I see a Prius tootling around with a bazillion-cubic-foot rocket box on the roof.

you could use Eco Tek 1 and ET 50 from Green Fuel Solutions, Inc.

I did. I pumped up the pressure on my Prius by a notch and fuel economy increased by almost a mile per gallon. It's not a lot, but the car can tell the difference in a few minutes.
